  1. Keeper 'deceived Sterling'published at 15:18 British Summer Time 15 September 2018

    Man City 1-0 Fulham

    Matthew Upson
Former Arsenal defender at Etihad Stadium for 5 live Sport

A fabulous save from Bettinelli - he came out, made himself big and deceived Sterling, and the shot came off the keeper's underside, bounced up and hit the crossbar.

To be honest though it's the sort of finish Sterling needs to make. He needs to become much more clinical.

Andrew Walker: I'm going to say it... Arsenal looking worse then they did last season. Team still lacking an identity and need one, fast.

  3. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 15:16 British Summer Time 15 September 2018

    Man City 1-0 Fulham

Raheem Sterling almost makes it 2-0. He sprints away through the middle but his shot is deflected off the keeper and onto the bar!

    Newcastle 0-0 Arsenal

Arsenal are starting to step up the pressure. Mesut Ozil slips it to Hector Bellerin, who is overlapping on the right, but his cross is cut out.

  5. goal

GOAL - Chelsea 0-1 Cardiffpublished at 15:15 British Summer Time 15 September 2018

    Sol Bamba (16 mins)

Hello! Cardiff steal the lead and yes, it does come from a set piece. Sol Bomba makes no mistake this time as he links onto a Sean Morrison flick on and finishes past Kepa from close range.

    This should be interesting...

Ryan Fraser takes a tumble in the box and is adamant a shove from behind by Ricardo Pereira sent him there.

    No, says the referee.

Not too much happening over at John Smith's. Huddersfield are causing a few problems with their long throw-ins though.

One to keep an eye on.

  9. CHANCE!published at 15:12 British Summer Time 15 September 2018

    Chelsea 0-0 Cardiff

Another Cardiff corner as Chelsea scramble away a long throw.

Sol Bamba rises at the back stick, above two Chelsea markers, but can only nod his header down and wide. That was a big chance.

  10. Postpublished at 15:12 British Summer Time 15 September 2018

    Man City 1-0 Fulham

City are still dominating at the Etihad. Sergio Aguero has space to run into down the centre but his low shot from outside the box lacks any pace and it dribbles into the hands of Marcus Bettinelli.

  11. Postpublished at 15:11 British Summer Time 15 September 2018

    Bournemouth 0-0 Leicester

It's all Leicester in the opening stages. Rachid Ghezzal is well up for it too, some lovely, lively touches to keep possession and the danger ticking on the edge of the Bournemouth box. Harry Maguire lets the party down with a heavy touch.

  12. Postpublished at 15:10 British Summer Time 15 September 2018

    Newcastle 0-0 Arsenal

Jacob Murphy canters forward down the left. He has two targets to aim for in the box but his cross is in front of one and behind another.

Newcastle earn a corner and Ayoze Perez' knock on is cut out. Petr Cech is then put under pressure and has to hoof the ball out for another corner. Nice little spell here for the hosts.

  13. CHANCE!published at 15:10 British Summer Time 15 September 2018

    Chelsea 0-0 Cardiff

Another sight of goal for Olivier Giroud and he slices this one over the bar. Slack defending from Cardiff let Marcos Alonso get right to the byline, but his cut-back was probably a little too behind his French team-mate. Giroud lets him know this.

  14. GREAT SAVE!published at 15:08 British Summer Time 15 September 2018

    Bournemouth 0-0 Leicester

Great block by Asmir Begovic, a one-on-one to deny Jamie Vardy, sliding out as the striker burst clear on goal. A clever run and excellent weighted pass from Rachid Ghezzal to find him.

  15. Postpublished at 15:08 British Summer Time 15 September 2018

    Newcastle 0-0 Arsenal

Nothing of note to report from St James' Park but Ayoze Perez tries to tip-toe his way into the box. He's surrounded by four Arsenal defenders and no teammates so his way is shut.

  16. 'Can't give City a sniff'published at 15:07 British Summer Time 15 September 2018

    Man City 1-0 Fulham

    Dion Dublin
Ex-Aston Villa striker on Final Score

I cannot believe Fulham have been sucked in like that. City basically said 'go on then, play'. Then Fernandinho was on them like a flash, Leroy Sane was alert.

You can't give them a sniff, they are too good. If you are in that position, clear the ball.

  17. Postpublished at 15:07 British Summer Time 15 September 2018

    Chelsea 0-0 Cardiff

Early sight of goal for Olivier Giroud - he rises strongly in the box to nod a hanging cross over the bar and onto the roof of the net. A tough one. The wait goes on. He hasn't scored for the Blues since May.

  18. 'A dreadful ball given away'published at 15:06 British Summer Time 15 September 2018

    Man City 1-0 Fulham

    Matthew Upson
Former Arsenal defender at Etihad Stadium for 5 live Sport

I was close to saying Fulham had started the game well... but that was such a sloppy error. Especially away from home at the Etihad, a dreadful ball given away in defensive midfield and the speed of that City counter-attack was brilliant.

  19. Postpublished at 15:06 British Summer Time 15 September 2018

    Huddersfield 0-0 Crystal Palace

Philip Billing comes close for Huddersfield, almost sneaking onto a header before it's gobbled up by Palace keeper Wayne Hennessey.

He's offside anyway but only just.

  20. 'Zaha half of Palace's team'published at 15:06 British Summer Time 15 September 2018

    Huddersfield 0-0 Crystal Palace

    Dion Dublin
Ex-Aston Villa striker on Final Score

You can't escape it. You talk about Crystal Palace, you talk about Wilfried Zaha. He's got everything they need to win, they look to him for goals, when a Palace player gets the ball they look up for him. He's half their team.
