Newcastle United

Newcastle defender Kiaran Clark:

On the result: "It is a frustrating time, especially the first half I thought we had the better of the play, then a sloppy start to the second half and we are 2-0 down and chasing the game. Got to keep going an make this right.

On a tough run of games: "Everyone has got to play each other. It is a tough run but we are working each week and trying to get the best of the games, we have been close so many times hopefully can put this right.

On scoring late: "We’ll keep fighting until the end, maybe we were a bit exposed at the back, but that it the risk you got to take. We threw everything at it, it was just not our day."

Liverpool were magnificent but Spurs were absolutely woeful. One of their worst performances in a long time - the Reds could have scored five!

Arsenal

Arsenal manager Unai Emery:

On the performance: We are improving; we need to continue working individually and collectively to improve more things. In the first half we didn’t control like we wanted but the second half we were better than the first and the victory is just.

On different players scoring: "It's good news. We need to improve and score more individually, we need we work every player, not only the attacking players the midfielders and centre backs from set pieces. We want to give them all a chance to score but normally all the attacking players will do more.

On Ozil's contribution: "For me I see the players are the same, each have quality. His [Ozil’s] quality helps the team, it is important he scored. I want not only for him to assist we need him to go in the box and score like today. I will work with every player and continue our process to create the team as we want."

Bournemouth

Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe speaking to Match of the Day: "We're delighted with the result, but we knew before the game we've got a lot more improving to do.

"We were very effective. I felt we dealt with the physicality well and were efficient in front of goal.

"We've won but know the team is not at its peak yet. We've got players trying to bed in and get the same ideas.

"Without wishing players to be sent off I thought Harry Maguire should have had a second yellow (for a foul on Joshua King).

"We're aware of the table, we were aware of it last year when we had no points after four games but we know you're judged at the end of the season not now."

Newcastle United

Newcastle manager Rafael Benitez

On their performance: "We did really well first half, the feeling was we had we could get something, then we conceded an early goal, two moments of quality and it is difficult for us. First half was better, we were creating and pushing but you have to take your chances.

On heads dropping: "It was because their second was too early, that’s what happens when you have quality like they do, it is difficult for anyone. To react against a good team, you have to attack and push higher and you are more exposed. It is a pity, still we are scoring and having chances, you have to do it early.

On their tough start: "We knew it could be like that, it is tough. We have had a game or two we could get points like against Cardiff. Where we are, we have to keep the belief the same way we did last season."

Leicester City

Leicester boss Claude Puel speaking to Match of the Day: "It's important not to forget this experience for us. We played a good team, it was not a fair reflection in the fist half because we started well.

"We had the first chances to score. In the first two moments at the other end we concede two goals.

"It's a shame. We put quality on the pitch with good moves and good chances and it's important together to have a good mind and a good reaction.

"The sending off was harsh on Wes Morgan. I will not always agree with the decision. The penalty we conceded too was difficult. We have to correct our problems and not just look at decisions.

"To score two goals at the end with 10 men I appreciate it. I am proud of my players and my squad."

Cardiff City

Cardiff boss Neil Warnock speaking to MOTD: "For 80 minutes we were in the game, just little things went against us.

"They're a really good side and the better team won on the day. It's a learning curve, we really have to brush up on things when you come into the top-flight. A couple of fouls went against us and I think we could have had a penalty.

"I thought we could have had a penalty when David Luiz brought down Paterson after he headed against the post - I think Luiz was very clever with that.

"I'm pleased today - disappointed with the result, obviously - but pleased."

Bournemouth striker Joshua King both scored and assisted in the same Premier League game for the first time in his career.

Eden Hazard is the fourth player to score more than one Premier League hat-trick for Chelsea (also Didier Drogba, Frank Lampard and Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink).

Crystal Palace have won all four of their top-flight away matches against Huddersfield, keeping a clean sheet on each trip.

Leroy Sane has had a hand in 18 goals in his last 16 Premier League games at the Etihad Stadium (6 goals, 12 assists). And his opener today was the quickest goal in the Premier League this season so far, at one minute 36 seconds.

Arsenal have won consecutive Premier League away games for the first time since May 2017.

Chelsea

Chelsea head coach Maurizio Sarri on MOTD: "I am very happy with my players. But I always think we can do better. We are very dangerous in the offensive phase but we aren't as solid defensively as I want. I think we can improve quickly though.

"Eden Hazard is unique. I thought he was one of the best in Europe - but now I am changing my mind as maybe now he is the best in Europe.

"I think at the moment Liverpool and Manchester City are another step up, so we have to improve and I hope next season we can be on the same level."

Manchester City

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "It could have been more than three goals, considering the chances we created.

"After an international break it's always a mystery how you'll come back, and Fulham asked us a lot of questions. They will have a good season and I want to give Fulham a lot of credit.

"But we were aggressive when we had the ball and we created chances. Today we had many, many clear chances to score and we need to work at scoring more.

"I believe in all the guys in my squad - Sane, for example, is only 22 and he realises why he hasn't played many minutes. But he did well today."

Chelsea

Chelsea defender David Luiz on MOTD: "It's never easy to win one game in the Premier League, never mind five in a row.

"We did well today, we played with our style and our passion and we did very well.

"With a team like Cardiff, they play physically so it's not easy to score goals against them. It was an amazing game to score four goals in.

"I love to play football so it's great to be on the pitch. I love the manager - he loves football so it's special to work with him - I love the philosophy.

"Chelsea is a big club who are always going to fight for the titles - this year is a great opportunity for us if we continue this way - but we have to take it one game at a time.

Cardiff City

Cardiff midfielder Joe Ralls: "We always felt like we had a chance in the game but the third goal just killed us a little bit.

"We felt a few little decisions go against us today.

"Eden hazard is one of the top players in the world on his day so he's difficult to deal with and unfortuantely he got through us a couple of times.

"We have to dust ourselves down and prepare for Man City now - we just need to stick with it because you never know what can happen."

Fulham

Fulham boss Slavisa Jokanovic on BBC Match of the Day: "We started both halves conceding early goals. The result was fair and if you don't perform perfectly it's so hard to do well against Manchester City.

"Our performance was a little shy and we didn't connect our play well enough. We had some moments in the game when we enjoyed possession but we didn't have end quality.

"Now we have to move forward and think about the next game, a fixture where we might be able to do more than we did here at the Etihad. It's not easy playing here and we definitely didn't do enough."

Chelsea

More from Hazard speaking to BBC Match of the Day: "I'm fresh. I took three weeks off after the World Cup and I started pre-season a bit later but I'm good when I'm playing football.

"Sometimes I am tired but I always try to give everything on the pitch. It's a pleasure to play at the moment.

"[Maurizio Sarri] just wants us to play and to find space between the lines so then Jorginho, Matteo Kovacic, Cesc Fabregas can find us.

"We have a lot of freedom on the pitch, and at the moment when we try and do something it's coming off.

"I'm always happy when I'm playing football I just want to do my best for this club who have done a lot for me. I'm always trying to do more - create more chances, score more goals, and today a hat-trick so I will try to do this more."

Chelsea forward Eden Hazard: "The game was very tough. We know especially after the break it's hard to play a good game because we are all a bit tired but we got an important three points today.

"We could play better, we should play better but we still scored four goals.

"Olivier Giroud is a target man - he is probably the best in the world - he is a pleasure to play with.

"After only five games we are doing good, we are confident, so we will see [about a title challenge]."

Fulham

Fulham's Ryan Sessegnon on Premier league TV: "A disappointing day. We did not play our best football today but we must learn from that and we know we were beaten by the better team. We now know this isn't the Championship anymore!

"These are the best players in the world and we have to adapt quickly. It's a learning curve for me and I enjoyed the battle against Raheem Sterling."
