If you can give percentages this is definitely a 60% - 40% in West Ham's favour.

It has got to be hard for Everton fans to stay and watch if you are not creating the chances you should be.

Felipe Anderson has had a great game. He's a proper bundle of energy. The midfielder wins the ball on halfway, wriggles forward and plays in Michail Antonio.

The substitute tries to work himself an opening, but his shot is blocked by Jonjoe Kenny.

    Everton 1-3 West Ham

Two minutes to go. West Ham looking good for their first points of the season.

  11. Postpublished at 86 mins

    Everton 1-3 West Ham

The hosts have pieced some decent attacking moves together, but they've lacked a real clinical edge - they've had almost twice as many shots as West Ham today, and the Hammers' three goals have come from four shots on target.

  12. 'Still time for Everton to score'published at 17:44 British Summer Time 16 September 2018

    Everton 1-3 West Ham

    Dion Dublin
Ex-Aston Villa striker on BBC Radio 5 Live

That was a great cross and what a great finish, or what should have been a great finish had Niasse not gotten unlucky and hit the bar.

Lots of time to get goals in this game.

  13. CLOSE!published at 84 mins

    Everton 1-3 West Ham

Oumar Niasse rattles the bar! Surely that was the chance?

It's a superb ball from Lucas Digne, finding the substitute six yards out and unmarked, but Niasse volleys against the bar.

Everton really needed that to go in.

  14. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 82 mins

    Everton 1-3 West Ham

Big day for Andriy Yarmolenko with two goals on his first start for the Hammers, and he's applauded by the travelling West Ham fans as he makes way for Robert Snodgrass.

Jonjoe Kenny has delivered some cracking crosses from the right, but this one is well dealt with by West Ham goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski. He is clattered by Oumar Niasse as he punches clear.

    Everton 1-3 West Ham

Sloppy from West Ham, as Idrissa Gueye steals in to pinch the ball. He lays it off to Gylfi Sigurdsson, who wins a corner.

But Everton are most vulnerable when they're on the attack. West Ham clear, and Felipe Anderson scampers down the left before seeing his effort deflected wide for a corner of their own.

  18. 'Much for Silva to ponder'published at 17:35 British Summer Time 16 September 2018

    Everton 1-3 West Ham

    Gary Flintoff
BBC Radio 5 live reporter at Goodison Park

The Everton manager Marco Silva is prowling the edge of his technical area. His arms are crossed but he is stroking his chin from time to time as he tries to work out how Everton get back into the game.

  19. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 76 mins

    Everton 1-3 West Ham

In fact, I think he's cracked Andriy Yarmolenko in the face. Down goes the goalscorer. Right in the kisser.

Marco Silva's last roll of the dice is to throw Ademola Lookman on for Theo Walcott.

  20. Postpublished at 75 mins

    Everton 1-3 West Ham

Quick, driving run down the centre from Theo Walcott until he's brought down by Declan Rice. Yellow card for the West Ham man.

Everton really need something here. Gylfi Sigurdsson isn't a bad man to have standing over a free-kick 30 yards out...

But he cracks the top of the wall.
