    Arsenal 0-0 Everton

Again the Toffees waste a chance to deliver with their centre-backs in the box.

Gylfi Sigurdsson and Lucas Digne make a right mess of a short free-kick and the Frenchman has to chop down Alexandre Lacazette to stop an Arsenal counter attack.

    Into the book he goes.

Marco Silva will be frustrated by that. Everton get the chance to pick out one of Kurt Zouma or Michael Keane from a corner, but find Petr Cech instead.

    Oh, hello.

    Silky footwork from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

But Arsenal's attacking move comes to nothing. Nacho Monreal still with the only real chance for the Gunners so far.

There's a lack of pace in Mustafi and Sokratis.

Brilliant play from the Brazilian, the long ball from Walcott caused all kinds of problems.

Richarlison drove in from his right side, not on his favoured left foot but a decent effort.

Sloppy pass from Idrissa Gueye, and Lucas Torreira nips in on halfway to pinch possession back. It's a patient approach from the Gunners before Mesut Ozil looks to go long and Jonjoe Kenny intercepts.

    Now Everton can break....

They look straight for Richarlison, who cuts inside on to his right and whips an effort towards goal from the edge of the area, only for Petr Cech to get down and save well.

    Arsenal 0-0 Everton

Chance for Everton to break after some pressure from Arsenal, and they do so down the right with Theo Walcott.

He's got Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison in the middle, but can't pick out either with a low cross as the hosts scramble back to recover.

There's a very good energy the way Everton have started this game

Their midfield of Davies and Sigurdsson is working hard and they are popping the ball up to Calvert-Lewin who is showing some nice touches.

Now referee Jonathan Moss is having a word with Granit Xhaka.

Couple of Arsenal players in that midfield that don't mind putting it about. Haven't always been able to say that.

  9. YELLOW CARDpublished at 15 mins

First Premier League start for Lucas Torreira, booked inside 15 minutes.

Bit of a lunge from the Uruguayan and deserving of a caution.

Hector Bellerin is almost playing as an out-and-out winger, but this time the Arsenal man fails to find a team-mate on the edge of the Everton box.

Pretty lively so far at the Emirates.

That's when Arsenal are at their strongest.

It was a lovely ball inside the six-yard box, Keane had no chance and it was a great save from point blank from Pickford.

From what we've seen so far it's no surprise these teams haven't kept a clean sheet this season.

    That's better from the Gunners.

Sweeping move down the right and a superb, whipping delivery from Hector Bellerin.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang does well to pull it back for Nacho Monreal, but his strike is well saved by Jordan Pickford from close range.

Everton are all over Sokratis and Mustafi.

You feel inside the stadium the apprehension if Arsenal continue to play like this.

Duncan Evans: What's the reason for this Arsenal game having to be played behind closed doors??

What is with the attendance at the emirates lately? These are some of the most interesting/exciting moments at the club for the last 12 years and yet there's still loads of empty seats? Shameful

Unai Emery's side have obviously been told to play out from the back, but they're looking far from convincing when doing so at the minute.

The hosts eventually lash clear after more pressing from the Toffees.

    Nervy start.

Granit Xhaka nearly gets caught trying to play out from the edge of his own box.

Everton press high and do win it back, but Dominic Calvert-Lewin sticks a fizzing Theo Walcott cross wide.

    Walcott was offside. Blushes spared.

Arsenal growing into this game. But Everton do well to clear an early corner.

The Gunners are just trying to keep the ball for a few moments and settle things down at the Emirates, before Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scuttles down the left and whips a dangerous delivery into the box.

The stand-out battle is Richarlison against Hector Bellerin and Theo Walcott against Nacho Monreal.

It's been a really positive start from Everton early-on, they're keeping the ball really well.

It was poor from Calvert-Lewin, he didn't get his bearings particularly well there.

That was a huge chance for Calvert-Lewin.

What a chance for the visitors!

Dominic Calvert-Lewin sprints clear of the Arsenal back four, tries to round goalkeeper Petr Cech, but can't get the ball out of his feet and the Arsenal stopper smothers.

Clever ball from Tom Davies and this team-mate should have done better.

    Early let off for Arsenal.

A neat move down the right for Everton, but Theo Walcott is muscled off the ball as he tries to drive into the box - he'll be pretty familiar with that stretch of grass.
