    West Ham 0-0 Chelsea

Andriy Yarmolenko jags in off the right flank and lets fly from 25 yards.

He'll do that a couple more times before this season is out.

This effort skims over the top of the Chelsea crossbar and I think Kepa Arrizabalaga had it covered anyway.

Anderson is going to improve across the season, he has an Alan Devonshire feel about him and he was a West ham legend back in the 80s.

    A real class act.

  3. YELLOW CARDpublished at 50 mins

    West Ham 0-0 Chelsea

N'Golo Kante's nice guy image takes a little dint as he chops down Felipe Anderson as the West Ham winger gets the wrong side of him.

A stonewall yellow which Mike Dean brandishes with relish.

It's amazing Hazard kept his balance there but he has such a low sense of gravity.

    West Ham 0-0 Chelsea

Eden Hazard then motors through the West Ham midfield, seemingly always a step away from hitting the turf as the challenges fly in, but fighting to keep upright like Claudio Caniggia against Cameroon at World Cup 1990.

    Finally he wins a free-kick.

Jorginho nearly plays Chelsea into trouble with an under-hit pass that is intercepted by Felipe Anderson.

The two teams make their way back out onto the pitch.

    No changes for either.

Olivier Giroud had only 14 touches in the first half - the fewest of any outfield player.

Nii: If you look at Chelsea bench, they don’t have a game changer among them. So those on the field now will have to find a way past this West Ham resolute defence

FigJam1175: Chelsea doing what Liverpool also failed to do last season and break teams down.. It may be the difference this season..

A lot of Chelsea fans were excited pre-kick-off at the thought of Eden Hazard dancing onto totem pole striker Oliver Giroud's knock-downs.

    It hasn't happened like that.

The pair have exchanged only four passes.

Antonio Rudiger and Jorginho by contrast have racked up 36 between the two of them.

Felipe Anderson has looked sharp for West Ham.

He has had the most touches of any home player (35), set up the first of two fine Michail Antonio chances with a delicious sliderule pass and has got into a couple of excellent crossing spots.

N'Golo Kante cannot get enough on a header from WIllian's smart side-foot volleyed cross.

We are heading back down the tunnel goalless and that is about fair enough.

Chelsea with more of the ball, West Ham with the better chances.

Declan Rice is a rangey figure at the base of West Ham's midfield.

The 19-year-old is listed at six-foot-one and he uses all of that to lever Mateo Kovacic off the ball.

He has not yet agreed a new contract and there are rumours that other clubs are interested in a possible January move.

Miracle Roch: Yarmolenko is such a lazy player, has the quality to be top notch but too lazy

Rob Alderman: Chelsea need a plan b. Coming back inside or playing through the middle far too much. Read every time and so many bodies in the way. More width.

Femi John Atoyebi: Chelsea trying to pass through the eye of the needle. Not working with a packed #WestHam, external in the final third.

The half is coasting towards a close.

Both teams look content to make it to the break with a blank scoreline.

Pedro Obiang miscontrols in the Chelsea half to give the Blues a throw-in.

Chelsea have steadied the ship, taking possession and drawing some of the sting from West Ham after those two Michail Antonio chances electrified the London Stadium.

Noise at last inside The London Stadium as West Ham United finally trouble Chelsea and, as it has been most of the time so far, Felipe Anderson is the catalyst, setting up Michail Antonio.

This slumbering crowd needed something to bring them to life and those few moments of excitement have done it, for now at least.

Eden Hazard bears down on the West Ham defence and goes down on the edge of the box under pressure from Declan Rice behind him.

Mike Dean gives nothing. Chelsea are aggrieved and rattled by West Ham's resurgence in the last five minutes or so.
