Marouane Fellaini's header forced that great save from Lukasz Fabianski just now but not enough of Manchester United's many deliveries into the box have resulted in an effort on goal.

From 21 crosses from open play and set-pieces today, only three have found a United man in the area - the red arrows in the graphic above show how many times they have been unsuccessful.

Felipe Anderson marches down the left wing. He cuts inside and slips it into the box for Marko Arnautovic.

There's just too much pace on the pass and it skips away inches in front of Arnautovic.

West Ham can counter now. They bring it through midfield with Mark Noble but when the ball comes to Marko Arnautovic, his touch is too heavy and Chris Smalling blocks his path.

Felipe Anderson can't pick up the rebound and United win the ball back.

Oh what a save that is! Unbelievable!

Marouane Fellaini powerfully nods the ball towards the inside of the post.

Lukasz Fabianski reacts instantly and dives down to his right to claw the ball off the line.

He's back on his feet and is good to go.

Marko Arnautovic is down in some pain following a good challenge from Chris Smalling. West Ham's players are urging the visitors to put the ball out of play but they want to keep attacking.

Eventually Mark Noble intercepts and smashes the ball out for a throw-in so Arnautovic can get some treatment.

Arthur Masuaku's defensive header is a bit risky and Felipe Anderson needs to win the ball ahead of Ashley Young.

The Man United player beats him to it but by using his hand and it's a free-kick to West Ham. The hosts could do with a spell of possession here.

Romelu Lukaku does well to leap onto an inswinging cross. But he can't direct the header and it bounces off the top of a West Ham defender and loops into the hands of Lukasz Fabianski.

A few half chances are starting to come Manchester United's way now though...

Anthony Martial does brilliantly on the left. He manages to wriggle his way into the box but Pedro Obiang hooks the ball away on the line. There was no Manchester United player there to put pressure on him anyway.

Here comes Marcus Rashford.

Victor Lindelof is off.

Marko Arnautovic does well to hold the ball up on the right. West Ham then recycle it around the back and it's slipped through to Arnautovic.

It's cleared but the forward then wins the ball back on the sidelines.

West Ham have played really well today, lets not forget that! They are just working harder than their opponents.

You want to see United play more free-flowing football. A lot of fans say it's the manager's fault why they are not allowed to do that and they say he's behind in an evolving game. You want to see United let off their leash but they look very robotic.
