Luke Shaw takes it back to basics on the next corner. Nothing fancy, just a chip into the box.

    It's cleared by West Ham...

You won't score anything with corners like that!

Ashley Young tries to play it back towards the top of the box but he passes it straight to a West Ham player and now they can counter.

It ends with Marko Arnautovic sending the ball into the roof of the stands.

  5. 'Man United need a quick start'published at 13:36 British Summer Time 29 September 2018

    West Ham 2-0 Man Utd

    Stephen Warnock
Ex-Liverpool defender on BBC Radio 5 live

Good news for West Ham fans is, Man United have kept the same formation. The bad news for Man United fans is they have kept the same formation.

Man United have to come out of the traps quick. They have to start well in this second half.

    West Ham 2-0 Man Utd

West Ham start where they left off.

Mark Noble finds himself in space and has a shot at goal. There's no pace on it and it dribbles into the hands of David de Gea.

    West Ham 2-0 Man Utd

    No changes at half time.

Jesse Lingard and Alexis Sanchez would be good options... but neither are in the squad for Manchester United!

    Marcus Rashford it is then.

West Ham have Robert Snodgrass and Michail Antonio on the bench if need be.

Anon: Just in case people hadn't noticed, West Ham are playing some great stuff today. It looks like the early troubles are well and truly over.

Kyle: West Ham have played some lovely football and their front 3 are a joy to watch but the 2 goals have been lucky. One clearly offside and the other an own goal and a huge deflection. Poor from Manchester United but they are having no luck at.

It doesn’t matter how you set up. Its when the first whistle goes where you are momentum-wise. Man Utd have a back six there almost. Everyone in the stadium is thinking Man Utd have come here to sit and that’s the tone in the first half.

It’s not what Man Utd fans want to see. You’ve got to get your basics right and that’s what happens when you have players playing where they're not used to.

It's not been great has it? The word we have heard coming out of Manchester United all week is attitude, Mourinho has not been happy with it.

Going out on to the pitch the attitude was completely wrong, nobody is getting to the ball, they are letting West Ham control the game.

Something has to change and I would be very surprised if they don't change their formation. They need to sort this out. United are all over the place and the back three is definitely not working. It's not enough.

To make matters worse, West Ham's second goal has been awarded as an own goal to Victor Lindelof.

    Ouch.

Without even playing, Bournemouth have managed to move up a place in the Premier League table.

Manchester United now have a -2 goal difference which is worse than the Cherries. They move down into eighth place.

Steve Cummins: With any luck this is the beginning of the end for Mourinho at United, feels like the rot well and truly set it now

Tahriq: These players don't want to play for this manager. Time for him to go.

PJ: Horrible horrible first half performance! What are these lads playing at today??

  16. Postpublished at 13:18 British Summer Time 29 September 2018

Lots of chat on whether West Ham's first goal should have stood. Both players did appear offside in the build-up but without seeing a replay, it's difficult to say for sure.

The referee was in a good position though...

That second goal was even luckier. But when you're playing well, these things seem to come off.

Manchester United need a spark here.

Jack Blackburn: Might be a moment to point out that “No-one’s bigger than the club” applies to the manager too.

Sulaimon: I repeat sack Mourinho today, tomorrow may be too late.

    West Ham 2-0 Man Utd

    Well, well, well.

West Ham lead by two goals at half time. Jose Mourinho sprints down into the tunnel and his players follow with their heads down.

The Hammers have a skip in their step.

    West Ham 2-0 Man Utd

    Stephen Warnock
Ex-Liverpool defender on BBC Radio 5 live

It's very unfortunate for Victor Lindelof because he was tracking Yarmalenko's run. He takes the shot and it just deflects into the top corner. There was nothing he or David De Gea could do.
