    Everton v Fulham (15:00 BST)

Six games into the season and it's just one win apiece for Everton and Fulham - although the greater optimism for doubling that tally should rest with the hosts.

Everton have a perfect Premier League home record in this fixture, and Fulham last avoided defeat at Goodison in a league game 59 years ago.

Perhaps the Premier League's joint top scorer can defy that narrative. Marco Silva's sides have conceded 91 goals in his 48 Premier League matches, so five-goal Aleksandar Mitrovic could be excused for salivating at the prospect of facing an Everton defence without a clean sheet since April.

Chelsea head coach Maurizio Sarri on "genius" Eden Hazard: "I think that he is for sure one of the best [players in the world], but I am absolutely convinced that he can improve.

"I think that we have seen only 75, 80% of his potential. He's a genius, technically I think he's the best. And so I want him to be the best in the world.

"He has a lot to give...and I want everything: more continuity from the physical point of view, from the mental point of view."

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp: "We try to use the information from [Wednesday] to be better on Saturday. Striking back is a nice opportunity.

"Before we started, it was clear the game at Chelsea would not be a children's birthday.

"It will be tough and intense for both sides. It's a big one. It already sounds good, and we have to make sure it is good."

  7. 'Chelsea impressed in midweek'published at 11:22 British Summer Time 29 September 2018

    Chelsea v Liverpool (17:30 BST)

I have to say I was really impressed by Chelsea in their 2-1 win over Liverpool in the Carabao Cup during the week. Yes they fielded different sides but Chelsea’s midfield dominated large portions of the game. It’s not easy to do that at Anfield.

I don't think Liverpool's front three have reached the levels of last year. I don’t know if they're being more selfish – if Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino are thinking about Mohamed Salah’s awards.

  11. 'Things could get worse before they get better'published at 11:15 British Summer Time 29 September 2018

    Huddersfield v Tottenham (15:00 BST)

    Guy Mowbray
    Match of the Day commentator

The heady days of spring and Huddersfield's successful battle to stay in the Premier League seem a long time ago.

Yet to win this season (or even score at home!), the prognosis is bleak, and things may get worse before they get better, with the next visitors to the John Smith's Stadium being Liverpool.

To win this one they're going to need Tottenham to have an off-day and, more importantly, give an error-free display of their own.

Start well, go in front, get the always excellent home crowd going, and we might see an upset.

If Spurs strike first, it will be hard to envisage anything other than their bounce back to form continuing.

  12. Dele Alli to miss Spurs gamepublished at 11:13 British Summer Time 29 September 2018

    Huddersfield v Tottenham (15:00 BST)

Dele Alli will miss Tottenham’s match at Huddersfield this afternoon. The England international has suffered a recurrence of a hamstring injury.

It is not known how long he will be out for but Tottenham play Barcelona in the Champions League at Wembley on Wednesday.

  14. Zidane to replace Mourinho?published at 11:11 British Summer Time 29 September 2018

West Ham v Man Utd (12:30 BST)

This morning's back pages were dominated by the Ryder Cup action but there's still plenty of football chat around.

Paul Pogba and Jose Mourinho's frosty relationship takes up most of the space but there's also gossip regarding Zinedine Zidane and Rui Faria.

Former Real Madrid boss Zidane is apparently taking English lessons in preparation for replacing Mourinho as Manchester United manager.

And ex-United assistant manager Faria, who spent 17 years working alongside Mourinho, wants to return to the sport as a head coach.

Paul Pogba's relationship with Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho appeared to hit a new low this week.

A clip of the midfielder and his manager having a tense exchange on the training ground emerged on Wednesday.

Could he be on his way out of Old Trafford? Could anyone afford to sign him? Or will he end up lasting longer than his manager?

  16. Early team newspublished at 11:06 British Summer Time 29 September 2018

West Ham forward Marko Arnautovic could return from the knee injury which ruled him out last weekend.

Midfielder Carlos Sanchez picked up a knock in the 8-0 League Cup win over Macclesfield and will face a fitness test.

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is likely to make sweeping changes after Tuesday's cup defeat.

Forward Marcus Rashford returns from a three-match ban, while Marcos Rojo is the only long-term absentee.

Goalkeeper Sergio Romero is suspended after his red card in midweek, with Lee Grant likely to take his place on the bench.
