Anish: Are West Ham trying to play Wengerball? Because they're playing some beautiful footbal at times.

Anon: Man United are the only team that are capable of making West Ham look like Real Madrid.

GOAL - West Ham 2-0 Man Utdpublished at 43 mins

    Andriy Yarmolenko

Now there's luck and then there's West Ham luck.

Andriy Yarmolenko cuts inside onto his left foot and shoots with power. Poor Victor Lindelof runs across the ball in an attempt to block it but it flicks up off his heel and bounces over David de Gea.

Yarmolenko will claim it. But that was a huge deflection.

Felipe Anderson is playing very well.

He links-up with Marko Arnautovic on the edge of the box but Ashley Young reads it brilliantly and makes an important tackle just in the nick of time.

    West Ham 1-0 Man Utd

Felipe Anderson whips in an excellent cross from the right but it's cleared well from Man United.

Pedro Obiang then sees space to run into and he allows the ball to roll forward before letting rip from distance.

The shot is always rising and at this rate, it will be landing in Mars when the games kick off at 3pm.

Yullaw: Martial should be shown videos of Wayne Rooney & Carlos Tevez about how they pressed defenders & attacked & scores plenty of goals

Paul Vance: Could Man Utd please slow it down a little and be even more laborious moving forward? I’m in danger of staying awake ....

    West Ham 1-0 Man Utd

Arthur Masuaku and Scott McTominay hussle for the ball on the right and the Man United player goes down.

There's no real appeals from the players but McTominay definitely looked to have been shoved.

    Jose Mourinho thought so.

Paul Pogba finds space in the middle and shoots from outside the box. His shot is quickly closed down and it dribbles wide for a corner.

    West Ham 1-0 Man Utd

    Stephen Warnock
Ex-Liverpool defender on BBC Radio 5 live

He is getting a lot of the ball on the right-hand side, Ashley Young, and you feel the more opportunities he gets, the more trouble he is going to cause West Ham because we all know about his quality.

    West Ham 1-0 Man Utd

Felipe Anderson plays a short corner before whipping a ball towards the top of the box where Andriy Yarmolenko is waiting.

The West Ham man tries an audacious volley but it's not quite Paul-Scholes-esque and ricochets off several players before Man United get it clear.

The visitors are seeing more of the ball now and West Ham are starting to drop deeper. That's always a dangerous thing to do when you're a goal up...

Nothing is going well for Manchester United so far.

Jose Mourinho is on his feet, marching up and down the touchline, screaming instructions at his players.

Luke Shaw takes note, tracks back and slides in to win the ball on the left.

The ball is curled in from Luke Shaw and Issa Diop goes down under pressure from Romelu Lukaku.

The Belgian is just about the shoot but Diop recovers to poke the ball away and push Lukaku wide.

    That was close...

    West Ham 1-0 Man Utd

Paul Pogba wins a free-kick despite being closed down by two West Ham midfielders. The London Stadium roar disapprovingly but Pogba gets up and continues play.

It's all a bit pedestrian from United at the moment though. They pass it around a little bit in midfield and play a ball hopelessly over the top which bounces into the hands of Lukasz Fabianski.

  14. 'Unfortunate'published at 12:54 British Summer Time 29 September 2018

    West Ham 1-0 Man Utd

    Stephen Warnock
Ex-Liverpool defender on BBC Radio 5 live

Felipe Anderson completely switches off at the back. Beautiful ball from Ashley Young and a brilliant header from Lukaku. Just unfortunate. United are okay in attack but defensively they are shaky.

  15. CLOSE!published at 23 mins

    West Ham 1-0 Man Utd

This time United do use the width and it's the best move of the game from the visitors.

The ball is chipped in towards the near post and Romelu Lukaku powers a header into the side-netting.

It might have even clipped the post. Cracking chance!

  16. United's wing-backs not offering much width in attackpublished at 12:52 British Summer Time 29 September 2018

Man Utd's wing-backs are meant to get forward in their 3-5-2 formation, but so far the visitors have not made much of an impression in the final third full-stop (right-hand graphic).

West Ham's full-backs are proving far more effective in attack at the moment - as you can see from the touches out wide the Hammers have had in the United half in the first 20 minutes, which include Pablo Zabaleta's cross from the right for their goal.

Stavros Makro: The apathy and laziness of Anthony Martial is shocking and disturbing

Noel FItzpatrick: Untied players not chasing back...they are playing as if it's casual Friday!!

Peter Malath: Why does Paul Pogba jog like he is playing in the park with his childhood friends? No urgency, no nothing defensively or offensively.

Ashley Young tries to cross it in from the right but slips as he leans back. The ball bounces back to him and he has another opportunity. This time it finds it's target - Romelu Lukaku - but the Belgian is offside.

That just about sums up this start from Manchester United...

Issa Diop slides in brilliantly to halt Romelu Lukaku's run. The United forward had done well to skip past Declan Rice and Mark Noble in midfield.
