Nine consecutive home clean sheets in the Premier League for Liverpool and Manchester City go back on top of the table.

But a really, really disappointing afternoon all round.

If you missed it, you didn't miss anything. Bar a rubbish penalty from Riyad Mahrez.

The penalty this game deserved!

Riyad Mahrez goes full Chris Waddle, leans back and lasers a left-footer well over the bar. He could not have hit that any harder but you could have hit that better...

Late drama! David Silva in a pocket of space, finds Leroy Sane, Virgil van Dijk dives in and referee Martin Atkinson says spot-kick...

A long ball forward is deflected into the path of Sadio Mane but once again Fernandinho breaks it up. Mane is hurt, and that's why - Fernandinho's arm whacked Mane right in the Adam's apple.

He's up and OK.

Another effort on target, just about. Solid foraging down the right from Joe Gomez and his high hanging cross is headed down by Daniel Sturridge at Ederson, but there's zero pace on the header.

He's not really caught fire this season but that's superb from Gabriel Jesus, a nutmeg and a dragback right on the dead ball line before driving into the area, but he's stopped by a Dejan Lovren challenge. A few screams for a penalty as Lovren's arm brished the Brazilian's face but there's no chance.

The fourth official Stuart Attwell will need to rest his ears tonight - they have taken some punishment from Jurgen Klopp and Pep Guardiola. The Manchester City bench feel they have been denied at least one penalty. The Liverpool bench believe referee Martin Atkinson could have brandished more yellow cards at the visitors.
