Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri speaking to Sky Sports:

"It's very difficult to play the match after the international break because the players go to play in another team, another football, another target then they come back and it’s not easy.

"At the end of the match it was very good, a fantastic match, in the first half in the tactical part we did very well but in the second half we played their match, the physical match which is not for us.

"Sincerely I have not seen {what happened] but I have spoken with Jose [Mourinho] then I have spoken with a member of staff because I think we were on the wrong side so I have dealt with it immediately.

"If I speak to a member of staff and am very hard [with him] I cannot come here and tell everything because then I am not credible with the staff."

Chelsea

Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri to BBC Sport: "We have played very well in the first hour but then we have played the match of United. A physical match, and United are better than us in a physical match.

"I am disappointed with the last 30 minutes. We could win but at the end one point is enough.

"We were not organised for the long ball, we usually play with short passes so we were not organised for this in the last half hour. This is not our football. I prefer to play our football for 90 minutes.

"I didn't see what happened but I have spoken to Jose Mourinho. I understood that we were in the wrong side of the situation. I have spoken to a member of my staff and have dealt with this immediately."

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho to BBC Sport: "A fantastic match, a very undeserved result for us but that is football. We were the best team, even in the first half when we were losing.

"We were in control, tactically. The result is really unfair for us. We conceded from two set-pieces, but that is a way to score goals and you have to be able to defend against that.

"Anthony Martial is improving, he is doing different things than before. He is a more complete player than before but he needs to improve. He has a huge talent and he wants it, which is a good thing. The team as a team was really good."

Tell us about your reaction at the end...

"It is not my reaction, it is Sarri's assistant. He was very impolite but Sarri took care of the situation. They have both apoligised to me, I accept. For me, the story is over.

"Don't do what everyone does and say 'it's Mourinho who does things.' I don't know his name, I don't need to know. Everything is fine."

Since his debut in September 2015, Anthony Martial has scored more goals in all competitions for Man Utd than any other player (40 goals).

More from Jose Mourinho on Sky Sports: "We were the best team on the pitch. If you say before the game that one point at Stamford Bridge is a good result, it is so difficult to win here but after the game with the way the game was it is an awful result for us and a phenomenal result for them.

"We were in the game, we controlled their triggers, Hazard and Jorginho was well controlled.

"After we were 2-1 up we had positions to score the third goal, we were the best team, we were calm in control.

"I hope every referee does the same as Mike Dean and gives six minutes, I don't know where they came from. We always tried to play, there was no time wasting.

"We defend corners mixed, some zonal, some man to man. Every player knows with closed eyes which player is his player, which space is his sapce. I am pleased with everything apart from the result which is awful for us."

Both teams could’ve won, both had chances and were positive, which is a word we have not used to described United in a long time. 2-2 did probably favour the game in general. It was good to watch.

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho on Sky Sports:What happened at the end? "Oh come on, I can tell you that 97 minutes of the game was so good that you have to focus on that.

"I did not get respect back from Chelsea [fans] but that is not my responsiblity. What I did here today I will do in Madrid, in Milan, in Porto, the reaction from the fans is not up to me.

"I am not annoyed with anything. What happened with Sarri's assistant, Sarri was the first one to come to me and say he will resolve it. The assistant has already come to me and apologised, I told him to forget it. I have made a lot of mistakes in my career."

Sam: Fair result - Chelsea won the 1st half, Utd dominated the 2nd. Arguments at the end ridiculous, too many emotionally stunted dudes hanging around football. Grow up.

Chelsea midfielder Ross Barkley on Sky Sports: "My confidence has grown but our target was to win the game so it is disappointing. We showed great attitude at the end.

"The manager told me to help the team win the game and try and get a result. We conceded a goal that we should have stopped but we came back."

Anthony Martial's second goal was a fantastic finish.

There were sloppy moments but overall it's been a positive performance because of the second half.

Juan Mata has a lovely weight to his pass, he can put those little balls into the box and with some movement in the second half Romelu Lukaku was a different player.

As soon as you put pressure on Chelsea and stretch their back four, anything can happen.

Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger on Sky Sports: "We had to bounce back at the end, you can be happy to take a point. I don't know what happened at the end, I just saw it, like a fight.

"There were emotions, this is football, it continued on the pitch but it's OK. At the end if you shake hands it is OK."

Juan Mata is now soaking up acclaim from all sides of the ground, the last to leave the pitch. There can't be a single reason to dislike Juan Mata can there? Seems a lovely bloke.
