All credit to Manchester United. They've made a real game of it but haven't really changed that much.

They've been more aggressive and better on the ball in the second half.

Pedro, who I hadn't even seen come on, puts the ball in and there's another neat touch from Olivier Giroud which comes to nothing.

    Almost game over...

Olivier Giroud is one of those players, like Michael Carrick often was, who gets the most acclaim from fans when he's not in the team.

Chelsea have been a bit of a mess in this second half though. A poor response to the first United goal and zero response to the second.

Nicks: Giroud and Hazard link up so well. Was surprised to see Morata start, he offers nothing up front.

Flytrap: Am afraid if Chelsea don't buy a proper striker in January they won't be anywhere near the title at the end.

Robby: Definitely blaming Sarri for this one! Giroud should have started!!!

    Chelsea 1-2 Man Utd

It's actually Anthony Martial who comes off instead of Marcus Rashford. As you can imagine he is NOT impressed.

As he reaches the touchline there's a smile though as Jose Mourinho says something to him. Alexis Sanchez is on now as well.

Atoyebi: Sarri leaving Morata for that long sure deserve to lose this match.

Michael: Morata is so frustrating to watch. He has offered us absolutely nothing.

Ah that's nice! That's what Olivier Giroud offers, he's a sounding board for Eden Hazard who plays an intricate, swift one-two with the Frenchman before hitting a low shot which is blocked by Luke Shaw.

Manchester United send on Andreas Pereira for Marcus Rashford.

Sion Roberts: I've said all along, all Martial needs is some game time and confidence. Sanchez arriving disturbed his good run and he's finally showing his worth.

Morelli Junior: As a Liverpool fan I don't know whether to hope Chelsea drop points or United lose.

Dharma: Not Mata’s biggest fan but he was instrumental in both goals.

Sophie: Brilliant finishes from Martial but this is the first time Mata has played centrally for United maybe ever and look what an impact he has had. Shame we’ve been wasting him on the right the last 5 years.

Sam: Chelsea have thrown this one away - Luiz always a bit of a liability and one goal was never going to be enough...

436: Imagine having a manager that'll make United play this way week in week out! I hope Mourinho transforms into that manager!

Ethan Carter: An Airbus A380 has been seen pulling up behind Man United’s defence.

A big last 15 minutes for Chelsea then, who have been way off the pace in attack since the start of the second half. Alvaro Morata and Eden Hazard had attempts in the opening minutes but there's been nothing since then.

It's just unbelievable how this game has swung.

David Luiz commits himself and doesn't get there. It's great vision from Marcus Rashford but I thought the opportunity was over as Anthony Martial has a heavy touch.

But he used Ceser Azpilicueta to bend the ball around him. Kepa is blinded by Azpilicueta.

The finish is exquisite. A fantastic finish.

  18. Man Utd complete the turnaroundpublished at 14:03 British Summer Time 20 October 2018

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at Stamford Bridge

What a transformation. Manchester United, so timid and lacking in threat in the first half, have been excellent after break.

Clenched fists from Jose Mourinho as that hit the back of the net but all very low-key.

Ebenezer: Beautiful build up. Great goal by Martial

Lamide: Martial now needs to sign a 10 year contract!

Michael: United should be doing everything they can to keep Martial. If it was him over Jose; no question!

Juan Mata played a big part in that goal but he still gets a decent reception from the Chelsea fans as he comes off, Ander Herrera is on.
