  1. 'Chelsea have been dominant'published at 13:20 British Summer Time 20 October 2018

    Chelsea 1-0 Man Utd

    Matthew Upson
Former England defender on BBC 5 live sport

Chelsea have been dominant in possession. They are so relaxed, they're controlling the game but there is hope for Manchester United and it is only 1-0. They can get back into this game.

It would help if Romelu Lukaku had better movement on the pitch.

There is no one-touch slick passing from United and Chelsea are doing that all the time.

Sibear: Watching United has become a chore..I give up

Mr Lamide: Manchester United, at the moment and not a good footballing side.

  6. HALF-TIMEpublished at 13:17 British Summer Time 20 October 2018

The half ends at walking pace. Jose Mourinho needs a big half-time if his side are to find a way back into the match.

That was a good counter-attack from Manchester United. We all know United have got the ability and the threat is there.

You feel like something can happen at any moment.

  8. Chelsea in controlpublished at 13:15 British Summer Time 20 October 2018

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at Stamford Bridge

Chelsea have got a grip on this game and Manchester United look devoid of ideas on how to get some semblance of control.

Romelu Lukaku is out of sorts and Chelsea are just having it far too easy at the moment.

Jose Mourinho has to find a way of changing the momentum of this game. Big half-time talk coming up.

  9. 'Willian and Hazard are switching flanks'published at 13:15 British Summer Time 20 October 2018

    Chelsea 1-0 Man Utd

    Matthew Upson
Former England defender on BBC 5 live sport

Alvaro Morata went down a little bit too easily there. he used the contact to win a free kick

I like the way Willian and Eden Hazard switched flanks and that's incredibly difficult to mark and keep track of.

Can all slate Lukaku, but once again he is becoming more and more isolated, as we sit back and fail to make simple passes. There's a reason he has 28 goals and 6 assists in 27 games for Belgium.

    Chelsea 1-0 Man Utd

Chelsea keep the ball for an ice age but then a loose touch lets in Ashley Young. Eden Hazard can't challenge him as he's on that early booking so away come the men in red. Romelu Lukaku does well to hold it up inside his own half and get Paul Pogba on the ball.

The United side do move up the pitch well, Pogba gets clear on the left wing but his cutback is met by a defender.

    Andrew Sheridan: Lukakwho?

babatunde sakiru: Man United team is lacking objectives. Especially Matic losing possession irrationally.

    Chelsea 1-0 Man Utd

Chelsea's midfield just look a level above their opponents when it comes to keeping the ball in tight spaces and moving it quickly. They are yet to really translate that superiority into attempts on goal but it's impressive to watch, if not the most exciting period of play.

Peter: Rashford has been useless so far. Can't attack and can't track back either to help his teammates. Just walking like he is in the park with mates. POGBA EFFFECT?

John: Rashford seems to be on a mission, I'd love to see him play under a manager who won't restrict his abilities

Thomas Knights: United are playing with nine men. Pogba and Lukaku have done absolutely nothing constructive all half.

Scott Anthony: Mourinho 'would love' to sign Eden Hazard. I'd love to marry Rachel Riley but I'm confident neither are going to happen.

  18. 'Chelsea are controlling the game'published at 13:08 British Summer Time 20 October 2018

    Chelsea 1-0 Man Utd

    Matthew Upson
Former England defender on BBC 5 live sport

Chris Smalling and Victor Lindelof really have to get onto Alvaro Morata much better.

He's a lone striker and shouldn't have so much space.

There's a real edge about Chelsea controlling this game. You do not see the same with Manchester United. They just can't retain the ball and play it out from the back as well as Chelsea

Chelsea at 60% of possession so far though, the visitors yet to have a shot on target.

Momodu: Man Utd playing without cohesion again. I doubt if the players understand what they are supposed to do.

RegularJon: United always lose this fixture, but Chelsea never have to play that well to win it. Wish we’d at least make them fight hard for a win and play us off the park instead of us caving in and gifting goals
