    Mesut Ozil

What a time to score! And it is a moment of brilliance from Mesut Ozil. The Arsenal skipper drives his side forward from the halfway line, laying the ball out to Hector Bellerin before sidefooting home the perfectly-weighted return pass.

Ozil didn't have to break stride. He didn't have to look up. And he was off celebrating before it hit the back of the net.

    Precision perfect.

You just sense the last couple of moments Arsenal are playing with some urgency. They're starting to fire and they won't want the half-time whistle to come.

Finally something for the Arsenal fans to get excited about. Neat build-up play by Mesut Ozil, Alexandre Lacazette and Alex iwobi ends in the latter thumping a low shot that is blocked by Kasper Schmeichel.

Signs Arsenal can haul themselves level before the break?

Arsenal upping the ante now... a corner is cleared, rather unconvincingly it has to be said, by Daniel Amartey.

Another Arsenal free-kick on the edge of the Leicester box. Another chance for Granit Xhaka to have a pop. This time he goes for finesse, trying to curl into the right corner, the ball dipping just wide.

This was Hector Bellerin's first own goal in the Premier League in his 133rd appearance in the competition.

Bellerin is only the second Arsenal player to score an own goal against Leicester in the Premier League after Andy Linighan in November 1994.

Sorry Ben Chilwell... that one is going down as a Hector Bellerin own goal. The Premier League has spoken.

Well we said before the game could this be Leicester’s night and quite rightly they’re in front. The Leicester fans are loving this, remember the last time they won at Arsenal in the top flight was 1973.

They’ve been the better team, they could have scored two more and should have had a penalty. Credit to Claude Puel who’s worked on this formation and so far so good.

    Long way to go.

Eddie: Lazy tackling from Mesut Ozil started that Leicester breakaway.

Prince C Nnaji: Thank you, Ozil. You and Bellerin caused that. You can't do that when Leicester have an extra man in the midfield.

Instant opportunity for Arsenal to get back on terms. Free-kick right on the edge of the Leicester box.

Granit Xhaka is going to leather this... over the bar.

    Ben Chilwell

Arsenal's luck has run out. Leicester get their reward.

Was it a shot? Or was it a cross? Leicester don't care.

Ben Chilwell gallops forward from left-back and his shot/cross comes off the toe of Hector Bellerin and goes past the stranded Bernd Leno.

Chilwell will claim it, no doubt. But I think it might be one for the dubious goals panel...

Phil: Clear penalty, clear red card. Oh wait. Against Arsenal. Play on!

Sean Barker: Holding by name, holding by nature. Has he been taking lessons from Xhaka? Do you know what obstruction is?

Dave Payn: For me the reason VAR has been introduced is the dreadful standard of officiating in the PL, and which league still hasn’t got it? That handball shouldn’t need a VAR referral. If a referee can’t spot that then he shouldn’t be officiating.

After a minute or few of defending. Leicester go back on the prowl. The Foxes scurry forward again through James Maddison, who gets shoved to the ground by Shkodran Mustafi but the ref waves plays on.

The ball breaks to Kelechi Iheanacho who whips in a dangerous that just misses Jamie Vardy's outstretched boot.

Even Peter Crouch wouldn't have reached that one...

Alexandre Lacazette is a man in form for Arsenal and he gets the Emirates 'oohing' and 'aaahing' like they are watching the Bonfire Night fireworks on Finsbury Park.

The Frenchman gets some luck to see the ball rebound back to him about 25 yards out, then blasts a first time effort over the bar.

Matt Wilkinson: Another great reason why VAR should have been in use this season. What game is this ref watching? What a terrible decision. Clearest and most obvious handball this season.

Marc Sepetowski: How on earth has the referee not given that penalty?

Chris Mitchell: That’s an absolutely shocking error from the ref. Clear view of the incident and a blatant handball. This division is clearly a step too far for Mr Kavanagh. Arsenal got away with one there.

Another Leicester chance. Arsenal are being battered here.

Another delivery into the box sees Harry Maguire left unmarked, the Foxes defender heads down.. textbook... but can't find the corner as Bernd Leno dives low to his left to save.

The referee has bottled it! That has to be a penalty. We are a long way away but it was pretty obvious. Claude Puel is furious. That is an absolute shocker. Rob Holding punched the ball with his hand. The referee has a lot to answer for. He's a pretty young referee but you have to handle the big occasions.
