It was also when Everton last landed a knockout blow at Chelsea. They haven't won at the Bridge in 28 visits since.

On paper, that run doesn't look like ending. Marco Silva has lost all six of his league games in London. Everton have lost 11 of their last 13 top-flight games on a Sunday.

Chelsea are the only side in Europe's top five leagues still unbeaten in all competitions. It could be a record unbeaten Premier League start for Maurizio Sarri.

But his team had a wearying week and Everton look good. This could be a shock.

Liverpool will be hoping their rivals Everton can help them retain their place at the top of the table a little longer with a result against Chelsea.

Liverpool haven't set the world alight but did what they needed to do. Could have been three or four, but it didn't need to be.

They are top of the table for a short while. Professionally done and Fulham were outclass by better opponents.

All smiles around Anfield as Tuesday's defeat to Red Star Belgrade is quickly forgotten. Things could have been different had Aleksandar Mitrovic's goal stood in the first half and Ryan Sessegnon had taken that chance.

But overall, Liverpool were comfortably the better team and deserved their victory.

Liverpool move top of the Premier League. Fulham remain at the bottom.

Dan, Welling: Before the game ends, I just want to say that Henderson and Milner make a huge difference to the shape and tempo of Liverpool. It's quite incredible how good Hendo, in particular, is.

Naby Keita's first involvement is a weighted pass down the right for Mohamed Salah. He does really well to hold up play and slips it for James Milner.

Milner's low cross is cut out by Liverpool have the ball again at the back.

Final change for Liverpool. Naby Keita gets a quick run around as Fabinho jogs off and gets a pat on the back from Jurgen.

Roberto Firmino's shot is comfortably saved by Sergio Rico then Mohamed Salah's curling effort is blocked in the box.

Liverpool want a third.

Megs, flicks and backheels by Liverpool now. They have not won the game at a canter but they have gone through the gears. Professional performance from Liverpool.

Francis Edwards: Jordan Henderson back to kill the Liverpool midfield. Scared to run too much past the halfway line and scared to pass the ball either forward or more than 5 yards.

Virgil van Dijk wants in on the attacking action. He keeps driving into the box and wins a corner.

Sadio Mane is dragged back by Calum Chambers and wins a free-kick in the Fulham half. Liverpool play it quick to Mohamed Salah but Alfie Mawson beats him to it.

Roberto Firmino's clever backheel then finds Trent Alexander-Arnold and Liverpool win a corner.

I don't think Mitrovic has enjoyed the last 30 minutes of this match. He's worked hard but has no one near him but for two big centre halves making it hard for him. One of those days he will want to forget.
