Gylfi Sigurdsson is up and running and back on the pitch. Chelsea fans are starting to get frustrated as their players lose possession in midfield again.

It's still yet to light up this game.

J Staggs, High Wycombe: I've been a Chelsea fan since the bad old days of Avram Grant...this team is electric going forward.

  3. YELLOW CARDpublished at 29 mins

    Chelsea 0-0 Everton

David Luiz gives the ball away and Gyfil Sigurdsson does brilliantly to hold off Jorginho. The Chelsea midfield is annoyed because he can't win it back and lashes out at Sigurdsson with a horrible tackle.

He only gets a yellow and he's fortunate. Sigurdsson is hurt by it and he's getting treatment on the pitch.

Everton have done well to congest the central areas and not allowed Eden Hazard to drop in to those areas and pick them off. Not allowed them to play between the lines.

Former Chelsea duo Michael Ballack and Michael Essien are in the stands to watch today. I'm guessing they're supporting Chelsea.

Mateo Kovacic tries an audacious diagonal ball over the top to Willian but it races off the slick surface. Wonderful vision!

Sho: That's a disgraceful decision. It's not even a foul let alone a yellow card. Just ban tackling if you're gonna start giving fouls for that. Ref is a joke.

Marc: That's a fantastic challenge! Now we have made football a non contact sport, are referees now instructed to make it a non challenge sport?? Absolute joke.

Pretty obvious where Everton's attacks have come from so far. They are breaking away on the right but are yet to create anything.

David Luiz is the real joker in the pack. He'll beat three players, then do something that makes you scratch you head. Then something amazing again.

It's anything but dull watching him.

Marcos Alonso whips the free-kick with his left foot. It's got plenty of bend but it was always headed wide and Jordan Pickford looked to have it covered as he watches it fly wide of the post.

  11. YELLOW CARDpublished at 22 mins

    Chelsea 0-0 Everton

Yerry Mina is penalised for a foul on Eden Hazard. Everton's players aren't happy about it and they immediately run over to referee Kevin Friend to protest.

The protests come to no avail and instead, Friend shows Mina a yellow card.

He did catch Hazard with the follow through. Correct decision I think.

Confidence huge factor for a striker and Alvaro Morata is still a young man. He's had big moves to some big clubs already. As a manager sometime you have got to show belief and stick with him when you might want to make a change, just to instill belief that you want them.

Ben, London: Chelsea play better away from home me thinks. Past 4 weeks, they haven't looked fluid, especially at home.

Lacking intensity so far. Chelsea are content to pass it around and are patiently waiting for an opening. Could be a very cagey affair...

But just as I write that, a ball almost falls to Willian after Yerry Mina was caught out of position from Alvaro Morata's header. The Everton centre-back recovers well though, and brings it out of the danger area.

    Chelsea 0-0 Everton

    Steve Claridge
Ex-Premier League striker on BBC Radio 5 live

Everton have been encouraging both going forward and defensively. So many teams when they come to Stamford Bridge are rushing to clear their lines and give it back to Chelsea. Everton have been unfazed, passed the ball out and are able to retain the ball. Good from Everton so far.

A wonderful first touch bringing it out the air by Bernard. Hits it with his right foot and unfortunately for him as it travels it flies to the left but a wonderful strike.

  20. CLOSE!published at 12 mins

The corner is headed out by Jorginho but it falls straight to Bernard on the edge of the box. The Everton winger catches it sweetly but his effort flies just wide of Kepa's right post.

    I thought it was in!
