    This would have been controversial.

Troy Deeney pokes a shot just wide - seconds after Abdoulaye Doucoure jumps all over Richarlison on the halfway line. The Brazilian is holding his shoulder, it was probably a foul.

    Everton 1-0 Watford

Corner to Watford, taken by Jose Holebas and Jordan Pickford does well to punch it away.

He's be good at one of those punching bag games you get in arcades and a couple of pub beer gardens.

Ex-Premier League striker on BBC Radio 5 live

What a chance. It was a really good ball by Ken Sema. That's a golden opportunity wasted by Roberto Pereyra. All he had to do was direct his header and use the pace on the ball.

    Watford have to be clinical.

Michael Keane needlessly gives away a free-kick for shoving Isaac Success. Everton captain Seamus Coleman argues with the ref, presumably thinking Success went down easily.

    Everton 1-0 Watford

    Chris Sutton

That was a bit like David Beckham from Gylfi Sigurdsson. But he was 30 yards closer and it was without the execution.

RE 20:21, have to disagree with Jaylock. I think not celebrating shows respect to your former club. In this case, Richarlison has Watford to thank for bringing him to English football which in turn has meant he has got himself a big £40 million move and breaking in to the Brazil national team.

BBC Sport chief football writer at Goodison Park

Everton's goal came laced with good fortune as Theo Walcott should have been ruled offside but since then they have started to pose a more regular threat.

Richarlison feels he is getting a rough ride from his former Watford team-mate but the young Brazilian is a big threat and his tireless attitude is making him a huge favourite at Goodison Park. Not to mention his goals.

What do you mean you didn't see much of Brazil's second tier three years ago?

What a ball that was from Gylfi Sigurdsson. One touch out of his feet and whipped in but Yerry Mina was never getting there with his head.

Theo Walcott has also looked lively for Everton.

Weird. Yerry Mina sticks his arm out to control Gylfi Sigurdsson's cross. Yellow card. And -1 point for my fantasy football team.

It was extremely flat but now you can hear the Everton voices.

It was a surprise because they have picked up 17 of their 23 points at home this season.
