  6. 'Incredible miss from Troy Deeney'published at 20:21 Greenwich Mean Time 10 December 2018

    Everton 1-0 Watford

    Chris Sutton
Ex-Premier League striker on BBC Radio 5 live

That was an incredible miss from Troy Deeney, who didn't know the flag had gone up. He was marginally offside, but from two yards on the volley he just ballooned it off his shin into the stand.

    Everton 1-0 Watford

Troy Deeney will never be happier to see the offside flag go up. While Everton captain Seamus Coleman is down injured, Domingos Quina crosses for Deeney.

The ball goes past Jordan Pickford, Deeney is six yards out with an empty net but somehow puts it over.

Wouldn't have counted... but he didn't know that.

It's a brilliant finish. It really is. Everton have just come to life in the last couple of minutes.

Marco Silva is up applauding. If Theo Walcott touched the ball there though that shouldn't have been a goal. Watford will feel aggrieved.

GOAL - Everton 1-0 Watfordpublished at 15 mins

    Richarlison

It had to be Richarlison. And he celebrates.

    But it's a controversial goal.

Seamus Coleman finds Andre Gomes, who gets in behind Watford's back line. Theo Walcott - who appears to be offside - gets a touch of the ball but Gomes takes it on again.

The Portuguese squares it for Richarlison to blast home against his old club.

    But should it have counted?

Subdued start in a subdued atmosphere at Goodison Park - bar a few fruity chants aimed in Marco Silva's direction from the Watford fans.

Good defending by Watford's Craig Cathcart to stop Richarlison's pass into Gylfi Sigurdsson. The Brazilian should have done better - Sigurdsson could have been in on goal if the pass had been right.
