West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini: "It was frustrating because we wanted to win this game and had the chance to be seventh. We lacked energy to win it. We had a flight at that arrived 2am in the morning after playing Southampton.
"In defending, possession and attacking the team lacked energy. We improved a little bit more once we made changes.
"I was happy until 2 o'clock today. This was a game we were able to win - Burnley was in a bad moment but they played with intensity. Burnley recovered better because they had 30 or 35 hours more."

Manchester City
Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany told Sky Sports: "The performance was excellent we looked aggressive in retrieving the ball. We shouldn't focus too much on points at the moment, we know if we can play to our potential we know we are a good team. Our pride has been hurt over the last few weeks but we have everything to play for and it depends on us."
Asked how his side will tackle the Liverpool match next week, Kompany said: "The same as always, we want to win. It is one of those key games you live for. Every living soul that comes into the stadium on Thursday has to be ready to fight and give it to them, and we should be able to pull everything out of the locker for that game."
Manchester City midfielder Raheem Sterling told Sky Sports: "Our last two results were difficult to take and I thought we bounced back brilliantly today. The last three games we have started well and scored the opening goal, and then we have been sloppy, but our mentality was good today and we showed a good fighting spirit."

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has made his first significant decisions as Manchester United manager this afternoon.
Firstly, Solskjaer has left £75m forward Romelu Lukaku on the bench after he missed two games due to compassionate leave.
He has, however, restored Anthony Martial to his starting line-up, amid some confusion about why he was absent from the Boxing Day win against Huddersfield.
The official line is that Martial was ill. However, it appears he also missed his flight back from Paris, so couldn't train as planned on Christmas Day.
Eric Bailly is also back, with Phil Jones dropped to the bench.
United are aiming for a third straight Premier League win for the first time since the start April.

Unnecessary challenge by Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg. He has got no need to go to ground as Fernandinho is running out of options. He cannot have any complaints about that and he has blotted his copybook because he has had a fine afternoon.
