Andy: I think it's a foregone conclusion that the match report for this game will say "scrappy" and "bad-tempered/ill-tempered".

Kyle: Bournemouth deserve to get a draw from this game. Everton have been better after the first half an hour but the way Bournemouth have played they don't deserve to lose this match.

It was a fantastic last-ditch challenge. Brilliant play by Bournemouth but at full stretch Michael Keane did everything he could to get a block in and Pickford backed it up with a save at the feet of Gosling.

Played! Jordan Pickford springs off his line like a cat to come out and sweep away man and ball, very good, brave goalkeeping to deny Ryan Fraser from reaching the ball at the far post.

Richarlison did seem to have his eye on the ball but led with his arm and caught Steve Cook flush in the face with his elbow.

If the referee had seen it differently he could have given a straight red for the contact.

Richarlison, absolutely goosed, trudges off in the now horrific rain as Dominic Calvert-Lewin takes his role up front. The Brazilian has given everything.

The game's got a bit frantic in the last five or 10 minutes. Everton fans are wanting their team to score a second goal and Bournemouth are desperate to get back on level terms.

There's been a few tackles flying in, but honest tackles. There's been nothing untoward. Both teams are fully committed to trying to get these three points.

Richarlison was sent-off at Bournemouth in August and he could have gone again there - a forearm into the neck of Steve Cook as they go up for a header. The Brazilian had a good luck at the defender before he jumped into that.

It's all getting a bit tetchy out there.

Jordon Ibe is booed on because of his Liverpool connection, he replaces the very promising Dave Brooks for Bournemouth. Richarlison then beats Steve Cook for pace but from a tight angle he screws a shot over the top.

Kyle: That would have been one of the goals of the season. Lovely pass from Pickford great control from Bernard excellent cross and a lovely header from Richarlison superb move from Everton. Jefferson Lerma has been outstanding in midfield for Bournemouth.

Getting a bit tense inside the stadium now as Everton can't keep the ball in midfield. Bournemouth are throwing men upfield in search of a leveller but Jordan Pickford hasn't had too much to do in the second half.

Bournemouth have been looking good for the last few minutes but then Everton come away nicely, all from a good clearance by Jordan Pickford, Gylfi Sigurdsson puts in a teasing cross and Richarlison sends a stooping header just wide!

Great move that.

There's a real expectation at Goodison Park, from fans and players alike, that you go about it the right way, you get on the front foot. You're the home team, go and get after the opposition.

That wasn't the case in the opening 25 minutes, it was all Bournemouth. They could have been 2-0 up and the game would practically been over. But Bournemouth let Everton off the hook and now they're paying the price for it.
