It's a speculative strike and looks like it's going wide. For Schindler, what's he putting his head down there for?

Let it hit your body. I just don't think he wanted it to hit his chest. I think he was scared at the pace the ball was coming.

It's a very poor decision, and sometimes that's why teams are down near the bottom of the league.

The manager, Mark Hudson, wouldn't have done that. He'd have been big, he'd have been strong. He'll be furious going in at half-time.

    Danilo

If you can't play through a swarm of shirts just hit one from range.

Danilo does and via a monster deflection it sends the keeper the wrong way.

It looks like it's off the head of Christopher Schindler and Jonas Lossl in goal was already committed.

An ugly goal but City won't worry about that.

Imtiaaz: That was probably the worst refereeing decision of the century.

Marc Sepetowski: One of the most blatant penalties you will ever see. If that was Salah... guaranteed penalty.

It can only be the officials think there was a touch on the ball. From one angle it looked absolutely not, from another it seemed there might have been. To the naked eye it looked a certain penalty.

  6. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 13 mins

    Huddersfield 0-0 Man City

    Wow.

    Just wow.

That is a certain penalty, not given.

Raheem Sterling fed into the box by Kevin de Bruyne and Terence Kongolo slides in on him from his side. It's nowhere near the ball and yet Andre Marriner says play on lads.

If VAR were in use it would have given two penalties.

    Huddersfield 0-0 Man City

Some 10 minutes on the clock and the home side and their caretaker manager will be quite content.

Aymeric Laporte heads back to his keeper under pressure and Manchester City will come forward. Sergio Aguero is pushed off it to roars of appreciation. Good work by Elias Kachunga.

Seconds later a long ball from City goes out for a goal kick. It's a bit sloppy so far.

It was just behind Kachunga as the cross came in. He had to generate the power and sent it just wide, but positive signs from Huddersfield.

Huddersfield show a little intent as Elias Kachunga brings them forward to the edge of the area before feeding the ball wide. In it comes, header from Isaac Mbenza.... well wide.

It's a blanket 4-5-1 from Huddersfield and you feel the pattern has been established here as they sit in, leaving Adama Diakhaby up top. It'll be counter attacks only for them you feel and as Isaac Mbenza runs them up to halfway the ball gets taken off him like a father taking a petrol station ball off an unruly child.

    Huddersfield 0-0 Man City

It has taken less than three minutes for Manchester City to see the white of the posts. Sergio Aguero picks the ball up, beats a man and exchanges a one-two with Raheem Sterling. He's in the area but holding off a challenge and the defender does just enough to force Aguero into shooting wide of the near post.
