    Huddersfield 0-3 Man City

What a chance for the home side. The Manchester City clean sheet bonus some of you fantasy football fans crave should be up in smoke.

Chris Löwe gets down the left and plays a low cross. Fabian Delph sticks out a leg and diverts it to Steve Mounie. He gets it eight yards out, takes a touch, turns and skews the shot wide.

A poor attempt and he should have got the goal his display as a substitute probably deserved.

Here's how it looks for the home side.

    In a nutshell, not great.

One minute to go and don't forget, we will turn attention to Craven Cottage in a while too.

We will have three minutes of added time. Huddersfield in fairness have shown admirable spirit and application. I'd not write them off for the drop just yet as who knows what a new gaffer will do but facing Everton, Chelsea and Arsenal in their next three games looks ugly right now.

On Phil Foden not coming on: "If I was a City fan I'd want to see him coming on the pitch, and I'd be disappointed if I was Phil Foden as well.

"The game's dead and buried so put him on and give him some experience. If you think he's a future star for the club, give him as much experience as you can now."

Aymeric Laporte has been decent for Manchester City despite taking a few knocks today. He's had 103 touches, second only to Danilo on the pitch.

He's also completed 95% of his passes which is no mean feat.

Steve Mounie has certainly lifted the Huddersfield performance, as has Alex Pritchard.

  7. GREAT SAVE!published at 86 mins

    Huddersfield 0-3 Man City

The best opening we have had in around 20 minutes falls the way of Bernardo Silva.

Manchester City have bodies in an attack and he's just waiting to be slid in. He gets it and moves in on goal to fire straight at Jonas Lossl.

Should have had his name on the sheet there.

Huddersfield fans start giving each pass an "ole".

Suddenly they are playing Manchester City off the park until Fabian Delph - on for Ilkay Gundogan - intercepts.

Steve Mounie is showing caretaker boss Mark Hudson he merits a start next time. He gets up above Nicolas Otamendi to meet a cross from Alex Pritchard and Ederson has to dive and hold.

Good forward play and Huddersfield need a lot more of it if they are going to stay up.

    Huddersfield 0-3 Man City

Yes Steve Mounie. That's the type of stuff I'm in the market for young man.

The Huddersfield substitute runs up the left wing and doesn't have much help. So he cuts in on his right peg and sends a ripper at goal. It's got pace and bend and gets Ederson diving but whistles just wide.

Fabian Delph is down to his kit and may be about to enter. Pep Guardiola looks set to take Kyle Walker off.

I'd love to tell you there was loads happening but I'd be telling a substantial like.

City come forward and have numbers but a Sergio Aguero scoop over the top doesn't have enough on it...

You could possibly say there's a bit of backbone missing with Huddersfield, but it's the decision making at the top end. That's the difference with the top teams.

You look at the way City punish teams and how they did it so quickly, so positively and, quite frankly, Huddersfield just don't have those players.

Huddersfield win a free-kick in the Manchester City half and load the box. In she goes, up goes Terence Kongolo to flick on and that's rolling out for a goal kick.

It's going to look like this. As we said at the very start of this live text, it's a pass the parcel title race.
