Not all players get off to the perfect start after a move, though sometimes that isn't the player's fault.

Mark Lawrenson goes for a Wolves win in our early kick off and he also believes Newcastle will beat Cardiff in their relegation dust up.

In this week's predictions - which can be found here - he is up against New York Knicks basketball star Mario Hezonja.

So you've had some paper fill and a little gossip, now I need a bit back.

In this week of the football spy, tales of training ground intelligence gathering have swarmed the internet and it got us wondering what you'd find if you poked your head over your club's training ground wall.

Would you see a star striker throwing a tantrum (not thinking of you Mr Arnautovic), or perhaps the odd bit of shouting and screaming (not thinking of Mr Warnock)?

You tell us. Which team is yours and what would you find?

    I'm on #bbcfootball all day.

  4. A player? Or past it?published at 10:22 Greenwich Mean Time 19 January 2019

While we're on transfers, here's one for Chelsea fans as the Gonzalo Higuain rumors swirl....

Knows where the net is? Or is the fact he only has one goal since October a tad concerning?

    Michy BatshuayiImage source, Getty Images

Away from the back pages and Trent's lucrative signatue there is plenty of newspaper gossip and transfer speculation.

Among the tales on this fine Saturday - Everton want Michy Batshuayi. Personally I'd like him out of the Premier League as his name is a right pain to spell. It's up there with Sokratis Papastathopoulos in the copy and paste stakes.

  6. 'Trent needs a song'published at 10:18 Greenwich Mean Time 19 January 2019

    Alexander-Arnold signs new deal

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has a request following that new Trent Alexander-Arnold deal...

He says: “Liverpool supporters love him as ‘one of their own’, although I have noticed he doesn’t have a song from the fans yet, so maybe that is something they can work on. Wow, does he deserve one."

I'm sure by now you've seen Klopp's dance moves. If not, click here., external

But without a doubt the most popular story across the back pages is that of Arsenal boss Unai Emery saying their top-four hopes are hanging by a thread.

They host Chelsea in a significant late kick-off today, shortly after Klopp's men have taken on Crystal Palace at Anfield.

  10. Bring it!published at 10:00

    Welcome to a busy Saturday

The fixture heavens have conspired to pour down some 3pm kick offs for the traditionalists.

Let's all do the rain dance and hope it rains goals, drama and controversy too.

We've got Liverpool trying to stretch their lead, Manchester United rising from the ashes under their Norwegian saviour, Newcastle plugging away, West Ham facing striker uncertainty and plenty more.

There's also the small matter of an early kick-off in the Black Country.

January blues? A Christmas hangover? I think not.

    Bring it Saturday. Bring it.
