    Midfielder Ovie Ejaria goes into the book for a late trip on Maribor full-back Mitja Viler. Clumsy more than anything else.

    Hibs' midfield trio have been well and truly outmuscled this evening but Emerson Hyndman manages to wriggle clear and decides to have a blast from 22 yards, with the shot fizzing just over.

    Maribor very much in the ascendancy now and Rangers having to defend for their lives to repel the waves of attack. Steven Gerrard is trying to get messages on to his players to regain the composure they were playing with in the opening 15 minutes.

    That will be that then... It's harsh on Hibs but they are punished again as they fail to clear their lines and the ball ricochets around before falling to Erling Braut Haland to prod in his second of the evening.

    It's taken 18 minutes but finally a goalkeeper is called into action.

    Rangers surrender possession in the middle of the park and it's captain Marcos Taveres that strides forward for Maribor to unleash a left-foot shot from the edge of the box. It's straight down the throat of Rangers keeper Allan McGregor who parries, with Jasmin Mesanovic volleying the rebound wide.

    A warning shot for Rangers that this Maribor team are far from out of this tie.

    Hibs change things up front, with Olly Shaw taking over from Jamie Maclaren. The Aussie will still be kicking himself about that missed chance.

    It's not been a great night for Martin Boyle and his frustration shows as he races back to have a hack at a Molde man on the halfway line. Silly.

    The atmosphere building up inside the stadium but still nothing to report. Maribor seeing plenty of the ball in midfield and not doing anything with it.

  10. HITS THE WOODWORK

    A gift for Hibs and they don't take it... Martin Boyle lofts the ball in from the right and goalkeeper Andreas Linde makes an absolute hash of it, allowing Lewis Stevenson to get the ball back across goal for Jamie Maclaren to nod against the post from six yards. He was leaning back a little but really should be tucking that golden chance away.

    Molde make another change as the injured Stian Rode Gregersen is replaced by Petter Strand.

    At a mere 5ft, 9in, the replacement looks like one of the club mascots.

    Again from Hibs' point of view it is a poor goal to lose, but take nothing away from the ball to Hestad and the movement from Haland. It is disappointing because I felt Hibs were really in the game again after not starting the second half well.

    Just as Hibs were beginning to look a threat, they fall further behind.

    A galloping run from Eirik Hestad takes him deep into the penalty area and Erling Braut Haland is then able to prod the ball into the path of Fredrik Aursnes for an easy tap-in.

    Five minutes into the game in Maribor and both teams still trying to work each other out. Either that or the Rangers players' eyes are still attempting to adjust to the not so subtle orange away kit on show from Steven Gerrard's side.

    Meanwhile, the home support reveal a "Flower of Slovenia" saltire display that covers the entire stand behind the Maribor goal.

    It was a quality ball from Mallan and a quality run from Boyle, but has to make the decision as to whether to hit it or go for the back-post area. He did neither and it just runs weakly out.

    In between those half-chances for Hibs, Molde made a change as the brilliantly-named Magnus Wolff Eikrem comes on for Paweł Cibicki, the forward on loan from Leeds.

    Stevie Mallan opens Molde up with a lovely lofted ball over the top for Martin Boyle to run on to. The wing-back has a lot to do as he comes in from the right but he gets it all wrong with a terrible shot high over the target.

    A good wee spell for Hibs here as a period of pressure ends with defender Paul Hanlon swiping the ball wide with his weaker right foot.
