    Molde 1-0 Hibernian (1-0)

That's better from Hibs. Jamie Maclaren drills a low ball in from the left but it just evades Flo Kamberi. Martin Boyle arrives from the right and fizzes it right back into the mixer but, again, no player in green can get a touch.

Every loose ball now appears to be finding a blue shirt for Molde. The home side looking very dangerous in and around the visitors goalmouth.

Neil Lennon may start looking at his bench shortly in an effort to change the flow of the game. They need to score and could Olly Shaw or even David Gray come on and create their own piece of history?

Martin Boyle has to do better in getting hold of the ball and linking up with Florian Kamberi. I don't think he has been at it 100% tonight, compared to what he's normally like.

    NK Maribor v Rangers (1-3, 19:15)

Maribor may be trailing by two goals but they will be heartened by a great record against teams from our shores in recent years.

The Slovenians in the purple kit gave Hibs a good going over in 2010, edged out Rangers in 2011, dumped Celtic out of Champions League qualifying in 2014 and squeezed past Aberdeen in 2016.

    Is it time for payback?

Rangers are the only Scottish side to have beaten Maribor and the omens are good, with a another 3-1 at Ibrox, following a 3-0 success in Slovenia back in 2001 when Tore Andre Flo and Claudio Caniggia were up front for The Light Blues.

There's a healthy Rangers support gathering at the Ljudski Stadium. Some pictures on social media indicate there have been some scuffles in the town of Maribor, with police clashing with Rangers fans. Also unconfirmed suggestions Rangers supporters were attacked with tear gas and bottles on the way to the stadium.

  8. Rangers aim to exploit risks from Mariborpublished at 18:59 British Summer Time 16 August 2018

    NK Maribor v Rangers (1-3, 19:15)

Rangers may enjoy a two-goal cushion but manager Steven Gerrard will not be parking the bus in Slovenia.

"This is not a case of us coming here to hang on and try to grind through the 90 minutes in order to get over the line," he said on Wednesday.

"This is an opportunity to show we're a team that's moving forward, a team that is growing, that has confidence. So I want my players to play as big players, as a big team, and show we're a threat away in Europe.

"At some point Maribor are going to have to take some risks in the game and I will pick a team with enough attacking talent to hopefully go and hurt them."

Rangers fans will be delighted to see this man in action tonight. After missing the first leg and the weekend win over St Mirren due to a head knock sustained in the opening weekend win over Aberdeen, Ryan Jack returns to Steven Gerrard's starting XI in Slovenia tonight.

  11. 'Final ball lacking for Hibs'published at 18:51 British Summer Time 16 August 2018

    Molde 1-0 Hibernian

    Peter Houston

Hibs have had as much of this game in many ways as Molde. They just have to cut out mistakes and when they are attacking, show that bit more quality because the final ball hasn't been good enough yet.

  12. HALF-TIME Molde 1-0 Hibernian (1-0)published at 46 mins

I guess the mission is the same for Hibs; score a goal. However, Molde finished the half strongly, buoyed by Erling Braut Haland's close-range header.

Hibs have lost Marvin Bartley to injury and Efe Ambrose was limping markedly as he went off for the break. Against such muscular opponents, the visitors cannot afford to lose another of their more imposing players.

A second member of Hibs' back three goes into the book as Efe Ambrose wipes out an opponent with a late challenge in the Molde half.

  14. Postpublished at 42 mins

    Molde 1-0 Hibernian (1-0)

Stevie Mallan went close with three shots in the first leg - one thundering off the crossbar - and he's at it again, with an angled, dipping effort that the keeper is able to push away.

Hibs are buckling a bit now as a Paweł Cibicki shot is blocked and the visitors have to scramble the ball away as Kristoffer Haugen tries to force it home at the back post.

  16. Bartley blow for Hibspublished at 38 mins

    Molde 1-0 Hibernian (1-0)

Hibs will need to make a change as Marvin Bartley crumples in a heap and indicates a hamstring problem.

Emerson Hyndman is on, which is going to make the difference in physical stature even more stark.

  17. Land of the giantspublished at 18:38 British Summer Time 16 August 2018

    Molde 1-0 Hibernian (1-0)

Height was a factor for the goal.

There are a lot of big units in this Molde team. Hibs midfield enforcer Marvin Bartley looks like a bit of a lightweight by comparison.

I'd say most of the home side could handle themselves if they stumbled into a local troll's cave.

  18. 'A simple goal'published at 18:37 British Summer Time 16 August 2018

    Molde 1-0 Hibernian (1-0)

    Peter Houston

    Quote Message

It was a poor goal to lose from Hibs' perspective. They should win the first header and should be reacting to runs from the likes of Haland. It is a simple goal which will annoy Neil Lennon but Hibs are still in this game. One goal could win them the tie.

GOAL Molde 1-0 Hibernian (1-0)published at 34 mins

    Erling Braut Haland

It's a soft one to lose... A deep free-kick is met at the back post by Ruben Gabrielsen, who is able to nod it across goal and there is Erling Braut Haland to head in one of the easiest goals he'll ever score.

The game is here for the taking. If Hibs can get that goal, they can put so much pressure on this team.
