Stoke came from behind at the New York stadium to take a point after Rotherham led with two rapid-fire second-half goals.

Tom Ince cancelled out Ryan Manning's penalty before substitute Bojan Krcic leveled late in the contest after Richie Towell's second for the Millers.

Joe Allen and Benik Afobe hit the wood-work for Gary Rowett's men, but their defensive woes continue.

Stoke, who still haven't won on the road this term, are up to 17th place and Rotherham also move up to 18th. Both sides are on 10 points.

    That could be it.

Stoke have a decent spell of possession but Bojan Krcic ends it with a wild shot that is miles off target.

    Rotherham 2-2 Stoke

It's getting a wee bit scrappy as both teams are feeling the boom-or-bust jitters.

Neither are keeping the ball too well

In answer to that earlier question about whether we can catch our breath...the answer is clearly no.

This has been an absolute cracker.

Apologies Millers fans I maybe jinxed you going on about MOTM there.

Can Paul Warne's side hang on for a point at least here? They deserve it.

West Brom are the new Championship leaders after they clung on to win 3-2 at struggling Preston, including an opening goal from Jay Rodriguez.

Baggies boss Darren Moore was a relieved man at full-time despite a late rally from the hosts.

"A win in this league on the road is always good - I thought we were worthy winners today," Moore told BBC WM 95.6.

"I thought we found a way to win the game today, we maybe made it a little nervy for ourselves towards the end and just needed to show some more urgency on the ball.

"But, I always felt as the away team we were in control of the game. I'm delighted with the three points."

If the Millers can hang on they have a fair few who may want the champagne.

Marek Rodak has been excellent in goal, Semi Ajayi a rock in defence and Ryan Manning has made the most of what he's had to work on up front.

  15. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 82 mins

    Rotherham 2-1 Stoke

    A double change for Stoke.

Charlie Adam is on for Joe Allen, and Peter Crouch has replaced Saido Berahino.

  16. Defensive woes continuepublished at 80 mins

    Rotherham 2-1 Stoke

Just to underline how poor Stoke have been at the back so far this term, they've now let in 18 goals in 10 games.

Manager Gary Rowett dropped skipper Ryan Shawcross after he struggled in their last league defeat by Blackburn, but his replacement Ashley Williams - a seasoned Wales international - has conceded a penalty this evening and fared no better.

Middlesbrough missed the chance to go top of the Championship when they were held to a 1-1 draw at Hull.

Britt Assombalonga's header was cancelled out by a Jarrod Bowen penalty.

"We need to get more goals, we have to take the chances in the final third and be more clinical," Boro boss Tony Pulis said.

"You've got to be 100 per cent every game, but today I didn't think we controlled the ball enough.

"We had some great chances. But after we got that first goal, we had chances to get more and take the game but we didn't.

"We just need to be more clinical and I think we are getting there slowly."
