    Napoli 0-0 Liverpool

Naby Keita is being loaded on to a stretcher. It's not currently clear what he's done. Jordan Henderson is stripping off to come on.

  2. Postpublished at 20:18 British Summer Time 3 October 2018

    Spurs 0-1 Barcelona

It's all getting a bit heated - in the stands anyway, as Barca defender Jordi Alba gives Lucas Moura a kick. Spurs fans think it should be a yellow.

  3. Postpublished at 20:17 British Summer Time 3 October 2018

    Napoli 0-0 Liverpool

Naby Keita is on the deck here. He looks like he's struggling. A golf cart is being prepared...

  4. Postpublished at 20:16 British Summer Time 3 October 2018

    Napoli 0-0 Liverpool

Almost an opening for Mo Salah, as a backpass is left in no man's land, with the Egyptian lurking. David Ospina, though, is quickly off his line to give the ball some shoe. It feels like there are a lot of one-time Arsenal keepers knocking around Europe (yes, Ospina is on loan, but, you know....).

  5. Postpublished at 20:16 British Summer Time 3 October 2018

    Spurs 0-1 Barcelona

Lionel Messi whips a free-kick in which Clement Lenglet, a summer signing from Sevilla, heads over the crossbar.

Seconds later Davinson Sanchez nudges over Luis Suarez to stop him chasing down a back-pass to Hugo Lloris. Naughty but effective.

  6. YELLOW CARDpublished at 20:14 British Summer Time 3 October 2018

    Spurs 0-1 Barcelona

Lucas Moura gets in behind Barcelona's defence but then his cross is cleared by Champions League centurion Gerard Pique.

Now Spurs have the first yellow card as Toby Alderweireld shoves Philippe Coutinho.

  7. Postpublished at 20:13 British Summer Time 3 October 2018

    Napoli 0-0 Liverpool

The stadium is two-tiered. Almost all of the bottom tier is empty. Liverpool slow things down, Georginio Wijnaldum coming deep in the hope of finding an option. The Liverpool front three are getting little space, but there's not much movement either.

    Spurs 0-1 Barcelona

Ex-Chelsea midfielder on BBC Radio 5 live

Spurs are doing the right thing, they're staying on the front foot.

They've got the players out there in Harry Kane, Son Heung-min and Lucas Moura and they just need to keep feeding them and they can get something.

  9. 'Madness from Lloris'published at 20:12 British Summer Time 3 October 2018

    Spurs 0-1 Barcelona

    Phil McNulty
BBC Sport chief football writer at Wembley

Talk about deflating an atmosphere. Decision-making madness from Hugo Lloris there and Barcelona will always accept those gifts.

Spurs fans trying to rouse their side but that is a shocking start. Already some golden touches from Lionel Messi.

  10. Postpublished at 20:11 British Summer Time 3 October 2018

    Napoli 0-0 Liverpool

The home fans really, really don't like it when Liverpool have the ball. There are more jeers and whistles than a public appearance by Katie Hopkins. Liverpool have started well, but get caught here. Space for Lorenzo Insigne on the left, but he drags his shot past the far post. Should have hit the target.

  11. Postpublished at 20:10 British Summer Time 3 October 2018

    Spurs 0-1 Barcelona

Barca lose the ball in midfield - I wonder if the pitch will hinder their passing style. Spurs look to have recovered from that start.

    Napoli 0-0 Liverpool

Naby Keita surges towards the Napoli back four, shaking off a challenge or two before running into a sky blue wall. Napoli may or may not have modeled their home kit on Coventry City.

Sho: Lloris absolutely head's gone moment there

Josh: Well, that's how NOT to start a game against Barcelona, where on earth is Lloris going, to the shop?

Marc: That's an absolutely appalling decision from Hugo Lloris!

  15. Postpublished at 20:08 British Summer Time 3 October 2018

Better from Spurs, slightly, but Clement Lenglet heads away a cross before Lucas Moura can get onto it.

    Spurs 0-1 Barcelona

Barca midfielder Ivan Rakitic slides the ball straight to Spurs striker Harry Kane but he can't in behind the away defence. And Barca have the ball again.

    Napoli 0-0 Liverpool

Nothing as exciting as Hugo Llloris trying to play right-back happening in Naples, only whistles from the home fans as Liverpool play a little keep-ball in the back four. If you haven't seen the Stadio San Paolo before, it has a running track around the outside. The crowd are about three quarters of a mile from the players*.

    *distance is a guess

    Spurs 0-1 Barcelona

Barcelona are just controlling the ball in midfield at the moment, they're looking so comfortable at the moment.

  19. 'No need for Lloris to come'published at 20:05 British Summer Time 3 October 2018

    Spurs 0-1 Barcelona

    Andy Townsend
Ex-Chelsea midfielder on BBC Radio 5 live

Wow. All to easy, it only took three or four passes for them to get through.

Spurs should have stayed close to Lionel Messi but they let him get his head up and pick that pass, it was all too easy.

Hugo Lloris didn't help matters, there was no need for him to come 10-15 yards out to try and sweep up there.

GOAL - Spurs 0-1 Barcelonapublished at 2 mins

    Philippe Coutinho (2 mins)

Hugo Lloris, on his return, makes a howler and Barcelona lead. Lionel Messi plays a great ball forward from the halfway line to Jordi Alba, who is on the corner of the box.

Lloris inexplicably comes flying off his line towards Alba, who is just able to pass the ball to Philippe Coutinho before the keeper can get there.

Coutinho blasts the ball past a bunch of defenders - but no goalkeeper - into the net from 20 yards.
