It's all set up perfectly, isn't it? Both teams on 11 points and Rangers on +7 goal difference. Both are on form and winning games. Rangers are starting to score goals - they'll be coming here with plenty of confidence. But Livingston are absolutely flying...

    Livingston v Rangers (13:30)

    Alasdair Lamont
BBC Sport Scotland at the Tony Macaroni Arena

"Livingston unsurprisingly sticking with exactly the same team as got that goalless draw at Tynecastle.

"As for Rangers, quite different from their perspective in the sense that they've made eight changes from the side that beat Ayr United in the League Cup during the week. The only survivors from that side are Joe Worrall, Ovie Ejaria and Alfredo Morelos."

  5. Gerrard unfazed by pitch concernspublished at 12:50

    Livingston v Rangers (13:30)

Steven Gerrard has told his Rangers players to focus on their game and forget the artificial surface at Livingston.

"First and foremost you've got to get used to the pitch, accept it, because it's not going to change," he told Rangers TV.

"It is what it is. If you're capable of playing football on grass and putting in good performances, why can't you go and do it on plastic?

"It's just all about having the right frame of mind and right mentality to believe in yourself that you can still play good football, even though it's plastic.

"The carrot for us is: can we go and get our first away win in the league? That's a great challenge for me, and the players should accept it."

    Livingston v Rangers (13:30)

Gary Holt's Livingston have taken a fancy to life in Scotland's top flight.

The West Lothian side sit fourth with 11 points from six games, and have not lost in the league since an opening-day defeat at champions Celtic.

And the Premiership new boys are relishing the prospect of locking horns with Rangers.

"I think how high-profile a player Stevie [Gerrard] was and how driven he was is coming across in his team," says Holt.

"You can see that. They are driven, they want to succeed, they play at a high tempo and they never give up. Just look at the recent results like the one away in Europa [against Villarreal].

Gary Holt says Livingston will show Rangers "what we're about"

"So it's something we are going to have to be guarded against but also not be overly worried about it too much because if we do that we'll not implement our own game, we won't play, we won't turn up.

"Yes we've identified they are a good side but let's go show them what we're about."
