Ex-Aston Villa striker on BBC Radio 5 live

Arsenal needed someone to unlock the door in the final third, a world-class footballer that could drag them back into the game. The player with that quality isn't in the 18 because they don't trust him. If they don't trust you, you have a problem.

Tottenham forward Son Heung-min on Sky Sports: "It's a big derby, last time we were here we didn't have a great result and this is a special night. We go for the semi-final.

"I was happy with the goal, thanks to Dele for the pass. I always make the run and it was great timing. We are on the way, we are positive."

Craig Smith: Arsenal must look at Liverpool and Van Dijk. They need a world class defender to compete for top four. Injuries haven’t helped but they are still too fragile at the back against top teams.

The quality of the finish, you've got to see it. He took the pace of the ball and chipped the keeper. For me it was the build-up with Harry Kane holding off a defender and seeing Alli making the run. It was like watching those two play two or three seasons ago. They've got an unbelievable understanding.

Alli knew what he was going to do after his first touch, which wasn't brilliant. It's outrageous but he made it look easy.

  7. 'Hazard gives Chelsea X Factor'published at 21:43 Greenwich Mean Time 19 December 2018

    Chelsea 1-0 Bournemouth

    Steven Reid
Former Republic of Ireland midfielder on BBC Radio 5 live

It was a game that Chelsea controlled from start to finish. There were glimmers of hope for Bournemouth. All the best chances fell to Chelsea. I remember playing against Eden Hazard and he is that difference. He gives them that X Factor, that bit of spark in the final third. They looked a much greater threat with him on the pitch.

  9. 'Spurs were men'published at 21:41 Greenwich Mean Time 19 December 2018

    Dion Dublin
Ex-Aston Villa striker on BBC Radio 5 live

Arsenal looked a bit tired, a bit leggy. They created decent chances but weren't clinical. Spurs were men. Big strong men who stood up to be counted in the derby.. Arsenal were slightly spineless tonight. Spurs deserve to be in the last four.

  10. The draw to comepublished at 21:41 Greenwich Mean Time 19 December 2018

Arsenal fan Piers Morgan and former Tottenham man - and BBC Podcaster - Peter Crouch are about to conduct the draw.

They had a wager which meant that the loser had to wear the shirt of the opposition. So Piers will have to squeeze this on now.

  12. City's youngsters go throughpublished at 21:38 Greenwich Mean Time 19 December 2018

FA Youth Cup result: Clevedon Town 0-4 Man City

    Tom Garry
BBC Sport at the Everyone Active Stadium

In the FA Youth Cup, Man City reached the fourth round with a 4-0 win at minnows Clevedon Town, with goals from Taylor Harwood-Bellis, Tommy Doyle, Ben Knight and Henri Ogunby.

The compeition is wide open this year after Chelsea - who have dominated in recent seasons - were knocked out at Man Utd on Monday.

For amateurs Clevedon, there was no fairytale giant-killing, but there was the club's biggest crowd for eight years, and they seem thrilled to have limited some of the country's best youngsters to just four goals.

    Arsenal 0-2 Tottenham

    Dion Dublin
Ex-Aston Villa striker on BBC Radio 5 live

Arsenal might be taking a step backwards tonight based on this performance. It feels like same old Arsenal, no backbone. I thought they'd got out of this zone they've been in for a long time where they didn't have the backbone, the hard-working players putting their head in where it hurts. Of late they've been outstanding. But this game tonight makes me think don't take a step backwards.
