    Man Utd 0-0 Juventus

Romelu Lukaku will have to have a massive night tonight for Manchester United to win.

United being more aggressive and on the front foot helps Lukaku and the positioning of Mata helps him.

Lukaku needs to do more when he's not involved in the game. There's still a long way to go to be on that world-class level. One his day he can be world-class but he needs to add consistency.

    Man Utd 0-0 Juventus

Juan Mata is standing over a free-kick, but is told to wait as a rogue intruder runs on to the pitch.

He is quickly tackled by two stewards.

Jose Mourinho and Massimiliano Allegri standing on the touchline share a giggle.

In the end, Mata's free-kick is too long.

It's going to be an unbelievably difficult match for United.

I watched Juventus against Genoa at the weekend and they were so good.

They bought Cristiano Ronaldo to win the Champions League. They needed a player with that star quality.

  12. Chances of progressionpublished at 19:56 British Summer Time 23 October 2018

Shakhtar Donetsk v Man City (20:00 BST)

Simon Gleave, head of sports analysis, Gracenote: "Manchester City's win in Hoffenheim coupled with Olympique Lyon's failure to beat Shakhtar Donetsk in France has brought Manchester City's chance of progress back to where it was before they lost at home to Lyon.

"The Euro Club Index, external gives City an 88% chance of making it through to the knockout phase of the Champions League, making them the most likely of the four English teams - Man City, Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool and Manchester United - to get there.

"A return of at least four points from the next two matches against Shakhtar will make City's progress more or less certain."

  14. 'Stop Ronaldo collectively'published at 19:53 British Summer Time 23 October 2018

Man Utd v Juventus (20:00 BST)

    Manchester United

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho tells BT Sport: "We played very well against Chelsea and had no new injuries in the starting line-up. We do not have many other options, lots of players came injured form international duty and they way we played was positive and this is how we want to play today.

"I do not think we can stop Cristiano Ronaldo individually, his movement is huge and woudl be very difficult to do. We have to do it collectively and if we have the ball and can be offensive, and can scare them, they will have less chances for Cristiano to play.

"We know that if Cristiano has two touches on the ball, he can score a hat-trick."

    AEK Athens 0-2 Bayern Munich

This was Robert Lewandowski sealing Bayern Munich's 2-0 win in Athens. A simple finish and a simple scoreline but it took them an hour to break through.

Manager Niko Kovac is under scrutiny. This performance was solid without being all that inspiring. Job done.

    Young Boys 1-1 Valencia

All over in Switzerland where Young Boys fought back from behind to land a draw with Valencia. The home side were unfortunate not to win it late on when they struck the woodwork.

What it means is Manchester United get a little boost as going into their meeting with Juventus, they have a cushion in second place.

United fans, would you take a draw now?
