    Barcelona 1-0 Tottenham

We are almost into the final 10 minutes at the Nou Camp.

Unless Spurs can find a goal, or PSV can find one, they are out.

  2. CLOSE!published at 21:36 Greenwich Mean Time 11 December 2018

    Liverpool 1-0 Napoli

Mohamed Salah skips past the Napoli keeper David Ospina. Intakes of breath.

He's diverted wide by Opsina's touch but he looks back towards goal, looks for the chip and Opsina gets a paw on the ball again to scoop to safety.

Just ask Tottenham what a late goal can do.

Under 15 minutes to go at Anfield.

    Barcelona 1-0 Tottenham

I've lost count of ho many chances Spurs have missed. Lucas Moura runs into the box and tumbles. Nothing doing says the referee.

  4. CLOSE!published at 21:33 Greenwich Mean Time 11 December 2018

    Barcelona 1-0 Tottenham

Lucas Moura! The man wants to be a hero. First his header is somehow kept out by Jasper Cillessen - clawed away right on the line.

Then he races onto the rebound and drives a curling effort inches wide of the far post.

    Barcelona 1-0 Tottenham

Lionel Messi comes to the party now. This is the last thing Spurs need. Do they know about that Inter goal?

It looks like it. Messi dances through three challenges but is finally stopped.

    Liverpool 1-0 Napoli

Surprised that Dries Mertens has been hooked? The numbers show it was coming.

The Napoli forward was barely involved - having just 19 touches of the ball. One was a corner kick. And another was the kick off.

    Alisson has made 39 touches...

    Barcelona 1-0 Tottenham

Remember when Lionel Messi came on? He's been a spectator. Spurs have been si impressive - but so wasteful in front of goal.

  9. Postpublished at 21:30 Greenwich Mean Time 11 December 2018

    Liverpool 1-0 Napoli

Trent Alexander-Arnold winds up a shot from range destined for the bottom corner until David Ospina dives low to gather.

Aaron: United are having a laugh if they think they can get Koulibaly for 100mil. Without him, Napoli would be out already

Johnny: Liverpool are playing the kind of football they played last season, just defending far, far better. This game is being played at such a high tempo it definitely suits Liverpool far more than Napoli. Liverpool should be out of sight but I can’t see Napoli scoring.

GG: Need to get Lucas Moura in to inject some pace, it's all too pedestrian so far.

  11. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:29 Greenwich Mean Time 11 December 2018

Another change. Lucas Moura is introduced for Spurs. Son Heung-min comes off.

Under 20 minutes to run here.

  12. Postpublished at 21:28 Greenwich Mean Time 11 December 2018

    Barcelona 1-0 Tottenham

Another big chance goes begging - Christian Eriksen had to find the net but his first time strike bounced off the line off Jasper Cillesen.

But the referee had blown for a foul in the box anyway.

  13. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 21:27 Greenwich Mean Time 11 December 2018

    Liverpool 1-0 Napoli

Off goes Dries Mertens for Napoli. Arkadiusz Milik - a more central striker - replaces him.

  14. Postpublished at 21:26 Greenwich Mean Time 11 December 2018

    Liverpool 1-0 Napoli

Dare we say it? Yes. It's all been very comfortable for Liverpool since the break.

They have edged possession and spent plenty of time in the Napoli third. Unsurprisingly that has led to them creating the better chances.

    No urgency from Napoli yet.

  15. YELLOW CARDpublished at 21:26 Greenwich Mean Time 11 December 2018

    Barcelona 1-0 Tottenham

A booking for Nelson Semedo - a foul on Danny Rose who was scampering down the left wing. Will Tottenham ever find the net again? They've had so many chances this evening. Again they come forward.

    Liverpool 1-0 Napoli

    Chris Waddle
Ex-Spurs and England winger on BBC Radio 5 live

Liverpool have been in control for the last 10 minutes and they have had a few chances. Napoli look like they have lost their way and it could be that they are starting to feel the pace.

But of course, one goal for the visitors changes things.

  17. CLOSE!published at 21:25 Greenwich Mean Time 11 December 2018

    Barcelona 1-0 Tottenham

Harry Kane heads the corner into the ground and a Barca man clears - it was heading on target.

Kane gets a bite at the rebound but can only smash into a body.

James Milner did everything right. He shows composure and he gets into the area before hitting it with pace. The goalkeeper looks beaten but it just drifts wide.

  20. CLOSE!published at 21:23 Greenwich Mean Time 11 December 2018

    Liverpool 1-0 Napoli

James Milner goes close now for Liverpool. He runs at the box before shaping a shot that just dips wide of the far post. The home side are on top - but still very vulnerable.

Under half an hour to play at Anfield.
