    Barcelona 1-0 Tottenham

One long ball over the top and Tottenham are undone. They are playing a very high line.

Munir El Haddadi chases it but Hugo Lloris comes out to sweep away on his head - cleanly.

  3. CLOSE!published at 21:05 Greenwich Mean Time 11 December 2018

    Barcelona 1-0 Tottenham

Moussa Sissoko bursts free down the right wing. There's space to run but he goes for an early cross seeking Harry Kane - who is crowded out in the middle. A very good opening.

Then Kane expertly collects a long pass. Perfect balance to shield the ball before laying into Christian Eriksen, who brings a diving save from Jasper Cillessen, tips round the post. A top save.

Napoli are going to score. Liverpool need to take Henderson and the referee off for the second half.

Dan: A first half as disappointing as my first beer this evening. But the tie's still as interesting as the mince pie-tasting porter I just had. Looking for a classic real Alli for the second half.

Harry: Cover your eyes Liverpool fans. Referee Skomina has officiated Liverpool 4 times in the UCL all lost. Moreover, in his last 10 games the home side has won once. He has also given a penalty in 2 of his last 3 UCL games.

  7. PSG and Liverpool going through...published at 20:56 Greenwich Mean Time 11 December 2018

    Liverpool 1-0 Napoli

If you're not sure what this all means - and you can be forgiven in the complex circumstances - here's the Group C table. As. It. Stands.

That could all change over another 45 minutes...

    HT: Inter Milan 0-1 PSV

Just seeing a replay on that PSV goal. There's a big error from Kwadwo Asamoah. Inter's left-back is caught in possession and in two or three touches his team are behind. Could be a costly one.

  9. 'Liverpool's tempo has been brilliant'published at 20:54 Greenwich Mean Time 11 December 2018

    Liverpool 1-0 Napoli

    Chris Waddle
Ex-Spurs and England winger on BBC Radio 5 live

Give Napoli credit, they did not sit back and they went for it. They were unlucky with the goal but Liverpool's tempo has been brilliant and they have had more possession.

I'm not sure how long both sides can keep it up for. Napoli still look a threat when they put three or four passes together.

  10. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:52 Greenwich Mean Time 11 December 2018

Red Star Belgrade 0-2 Paris St-Germain

PSG have one foot in the last 16.

Goals from Edinson Cavani and Neymar have done the business for the French champions.

    Liverpool 1-0 Napoli

There's time for one more break - crisp passing up the park until Roberto Firmino can't quite control a high ball in the box.

Liverpool are heading through as group runners-up behind PSG - as things stand.

Ambitious! Dries Mertens lets a ball bounce over his shoulder and spins to fire on goal, looking for the lob on Alisson who is never in danger.

    Liverpool 1-0 Napoli

    Chris Waddle

Liverpool have scored which is what they needed.

They have since come off the boil a little bit, and Napoli are a danger, but Jurgen Klopp's men are dealing with it well.

  17. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 20:46 Greenwich Mean Time 11 December 2018

    Barcelona 1-0 Tottenham

Spurs are living on the edge.

It's where Philippe Coutinho lives too. His little smart turn transforms atmosphere in an instant, racing on goal with no Tottenham shirt able to touch him.

Despite the ball sticking slightly in his feet as he races shooting range he digs out a shot that zips onto the base of the post and away. And breathe.

Smart intervention from Thomas Vermaelen just inside the area to snuff out a creeping Son Heung-min through ball.

You cannot say Barcelona have bossed this.

But here comes Ivan Rakitic with an exclamation mark - a drive from range that Hugo Llloris does well to field first time.
