A minute's silence for Cardiff City's Emiliano Sala will be observed at all Champions League and Europa League games this week.

Sala's body was recovered from the wreckage of a crashed plane last week.

He had been travelling to Cardiff in a light aircraft piloted by David Ibbotson that went missing over the English Channel on 21 January.

German clubs have been interested in the likes of Jadon Sancho before.

But it's players like Jadon Sancho that haven't wanted to move, wanting to stay with their family and friends.

Sancho has shown this career path can be very beneficial.

Not many clubs can be in that 'sweet spot' that can blend competitiveness and that opening for players like him. But it's in Dortmund's DNA.

Sancho is not going to be a German legend and stay until he is 35. We may see in two or three years that he may move to a bigger club.

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino on BT Sport: "We are always positive. Dortmund is a very good team, a fantastic team and it is going to be very competitive and tight. My nature is to be positive, I always believe in my players.

It is completely different form last season when we beat Dortmund twice. We cannot compare anything. The circumstances are completley different.

We believe, we need to be at our best if we want to win. The Champions League always demands your best, the level is so high.

After we played on Sunday we assessed the players in the best way and tried to provide some fresh legs.

Borussia Dortmund's side will provide plenty of interest for English eyes with Jadon Sancho starting along with Christian Pulisic, who joins Chelsea in the summer.

This is a huge test for Spurs but recent evidence confirms no-one should doubt their resolve, even without Harry Kane and Dele Alli.

Another big Champions League night at Wembley.

Don't tell that Fantasy Football guy but former Manchester City forward Jadon Sancho and new Chelsea signing Christian Pulisic both start for Borussia Dortmund.

Pulisic is one of four changes from the weekend draw against Hoffenheim with Thomas Delaney, Omer Toprak and Dan-Axel Zagadou also returning. Mario Gotze is very much in the false nine role.

Borussia Dortmund: Burki, Hakimi, Zagadou, Toprak, Diallo, Witsel, Dahoud, Delaney, Sancho, Gotze, Pulisic.

Mauricio Pochettino has had the distraction of the Manchester United job and that's started to be left alone for him to get on with the Tottenham job.

It's dangerous for Spurs to settle for something in the Champions League and I think we're in for a really intriguing game. If Spurs go one-nil up then we'll see what happens.

Real announced in May 2017 they had agreed a deal to sign a 16-year-old Vinicius Junior from Flamengo in a deal worth £38.7m - despite him having played only 17 minutes of senior football.

He arrived in the Spanish capital in July 2018 - days after Cristiano Ronaldo left for Juventus for £99.2m - and has since proved one of the positives in a season that has seen boss Julen Lopetegui sacked and Real trail bitter rivals Barcelona by eight points in La Liga.

The 5 live Football Daily Podcast panel discussed the impact Vinicius has made in a short space of time.
