Mauricio Pochettino on BT Sport: "We need to be ourselves and play in the way we usually do. The game is 0-0, we need to win to get into the next stage. We must be aggressive and hope that we start well.

"In the last few months Harry Winks has been very important for us, he is ready to play. We must compete more than ever, they are going to push us from the very beginning and it will be a massive atmosphere."

Ernest Faber, PSV Eindhoven's head of academy: "The physical power of English players is more than it is in Holland. Everybody plays with the ball here, even at lower levels or among amateurs. Now, in England, it is the same.

"They come to our site to look around, they go to Germany, to Spain. The sharing of knowledge is improving everyone. And you also have the money in England."

Mauricio Pochettino has picked wing-backs so when Tottenham are under pressure they've got five defenders if they need them.

But Dortmund are playing an attacking side so you'd think Harry Kane, Son Heung-min and Christian Eriksen will enjoy that.

Ajax head coach Erik ten Hag says the absence of Real captain Sergio Ramos could benefit his side, as the Dutch giants look to reach the last eight for the first time since 2003.

Ramos has been given a two-game ban "for clearly receiving a yellow card on purpose" in the first leg.

"I think Ramos is the boss on the pitch and in the backline," Ten Hag said. "Him being absent is not only a tactical loss for them but also a mental one.

"Our goal is clear and is the same for every game - scoring goals. This is Ajax, and we don't care about who we play, our intention will always be the same - dominate, score goals and win.

I think Mauricio Pochettino will be worried after Tottenham's recent form because they've been disappointing when people have been talking about them maybe winning the league.

But I think tonight, with the result they got at Wembley, it will be enough to see them through.

Tottenham have got good defenders, sometimes they're underestimated. I don't know at this moment if they and the goalkeeper are in the best form but tonight Tottenham are going to need those people to make sure they get a result.

    Very interesting shout Rob...

Had a discussion with my Spurs friends...if Real offered a straight Eriksen-Bale swap would you take it? Opinion was divided, but for me Bale any day. Some of the best memories as a Spurs fan are from Bale since I first went in 1980. .

Real Madrid "have always been more courted than Julia Roberts" said coach Santiago Solari amid rumours of a Jose Mourinho return.

Mourinho said he would "have no problem at all" returning to an old side, adding: "It's really a reason of pride when a club where you worked before wants you back."

Mourinho, who managed Real from 2010 to 2013, had been working as a pundit on Bein Sports reviewing Real's El Clasico defeat by Barcelona on Saturday

"Return to a club that I have been before?" said Mourinho, who had two spells at Chelsea. "If I think the right club, the right structure, the right ambitions, I will have no problem at all."

Mauricio Pochettino says Tottenham Hotspur need help from English football bosses after his side were given one day fewer than Dortmund to prepare.

Spurs, who won the home leg 3-0, drew with Arsenal on Saturday, after Dortmund lost to Augsburg on Friday.

"It's strange that no-one has said anything about that," said Pochettino.

"It's impossible that one team has 24 hours more to prepare. It's massive."

The Spurs boss continued: "We need help from the FA, we need help from the Premier League.

"I don't know whose fault it is. I don't know whether it is the FA, the Premier League, the club or the TV [who] wanted the matches to be on those days."

For those that don't know, it stands at 131 feet high, it's the biggest stand in Europe and holds just under 25,000.

Santiago Solari makes two changes to the Real Madrid side defeated by Barcelona, as Gareth Bale - jeered by the home support at the weekend - drops to the bench.

Sergio Ramos, suspended "for clearly receiving a yellow card on purpose" in the first leg against Ajax, misses out as Nacho and Lucas Vazquez start.

Real Madrid XI: Courtois, Carvajal, Nacho, Varane, Reguilon, Modric, Casemiro, Kroos, Vazquez, Benzema, Junior.

Ajax manager Erik ten Hag fields the same XI that started his side's previous domestic match - and the first-leg of this last-16 tie.

That means former Southampton man Dusan Tadic leads the attack as Ajax look to turn things around.

It's going to be a packed house here, it'll be a cracking atmosphere, so I think Mauricio Pochettino is going to need Tottenham to come out of the blocks quick and match Dortmund.

If they can get the tempo up and keep the crowd quiet, there's no reason why Tottenham can't score against this team tonight.
