Schalke have only touched the ball 15 times in the City half in the first 20 minutes and have not got near the home side's area but their fans are bouncing around as if they are 3-0 up and have not stopped singing since the game started. Not sure how they will react if they win a corner.

Each of City's previous three Premier League games - against West Ham, Bournemouth and Watford - have seen their opposition sit deep and defend in numbers in the way Schalke are, so Pep Guardiola's side are used to this kind of test.

City won all three of those games, but in each of them they had to wait until the second half to open the scoring, so their fans - who are currently chanting about Raheem Sterling being top of the league - might have to wait a while before this tie is put to bed.
