Barcelona are so over-rated, lots of passive passing around the back, Messi's second goal is basically a back pass and he still being worshipped as if it was a wonder strike. If Utd get the next goal, things will get interesting.

Barcelona 2-0 Man Utd (Agg: 3-0)
Three unanswered Manchester United goals will do this. The stonemasons will be erecting a Solskjaer statue on Sir Matt Busby Way by 9am tomorrow.

Hello!
Lewis Dunk has his head in his hands and that's a massive goal at the bottom of the table - Cardiff pump in a long ball form deep, Dunk gets under it and Sean Morrison heads down and in.
Cardiff making a fist of it - follow it here.
Juventus 1-1 Ajax (Agg: 2-2)
This could be the second half to watch if you can.
All square on away goals and everything. Can Ajax pull it off?
Barcelona 2-0 Man Utd (Agg: 3-0)

It's a missed opportunity for Man Utd because if you are 2-0 down at Barcelona, you expect to have been outplayed but they haven't been.

Phil Jones has got a headband on and it must have slipped over his eyes. He didn't have a clue where he was and Lionel Messi ran him ragged. But what a save by David de Gea.

What a save!
Lionel Messi runs at Phil Jones on the halfway line, it's intolerable cruelty as he twists the defender this way and that. Peter Reid chasing Maradona...
He feeds Jordi Alba on the overlap, he serves up a tap-in for opposite full-back Sergi Roberto, and he should score but hits his shot at the face of David de Gea!
Somehow that stays out.

You cannot blame Solskjaer for two basic errors. You just can't. And the fact this United squad needs major surgery dates back to the end of the Ferguson era. It's a massive task Solskjaer has taken on and I'm happy to give him time.

Free-kick for Manchester United, Marcus Rashford tonks the shot into the wall.
Juventus 1-1 Ajax (agg 2-2)
Manchester United on Liverpool, old boys edition.
Emre Can canters through midfield towards the edge of the Ajax box, but just as he hits the 18-yard line Daley Blind slides in.
Down goes Can. Penalty? Free-kick on the edge? Neither? The referee goes for the third of those three options.
And he is bang on. Blind pulled his leg out of the challenge and Can went down too easily.

Paul: I rushed home from work for this?!? Might see if there’s any overtime going for the second half
Kate: Said the girls could stay up to watch the first half... They’ve just gone to bed.
Dan: Can't help thinking Man Utd made the mistake of thinking they were playing Bayern Munich tonight
Barcelona 2-0 Man Utd (Agg: 3-0)
Lionel Messi pings in a free-kick from the right, nobody is anywhere near Ivan Rakitic and he could bring it down. Instead he flicks on a header which David de Gea juggles and eventualy holds on to. If he had his time again he would take a touch and finish I reckon...
Barcelona 2-0 Man Utd (Agg: 3-0)
A good spell of pressure from Manchester United but it comes to nothing in the end as Marcus Rashford has a low ball in well cleared. Barca have had 63% of the ball so far - if United score next then we will have an interesting spell.

There is no question that all of the United players are trying their hardest and they are trying to play in the right way, but they are just not good enough. The opening 10 minutes were brilliant but they are now getting outclassed.
Barcelona 2-0 Man Utd (Agg: 3-0)
How different this could have been had Marcus Rashford scored inside 30 seconds. It's been a compelling first half, punctuated by two Lionel Messi goals.

This level highlights how far off United are and how poor some of their players are. Fred and Young out first.
