Why are we starting Young? No pace and ill disciplined in his tackling recently. I can see a red card tonight.

A great kit, it has to be said.

Barca have never lost at home to United (W2 D2), although the last two fixtures have both been draws.

Barcelona inflicted United's heaviest Champions League defeat, a 4-0 reverse at the Camp Nou in the 1994/95 group stage in which Hristo Stoichkov scored twice.

  9. 'We can't rely on fate'published at 18:44 British Summer Time 16 April 2019

Barcelona v Man Utd (Agg: 1-0, 20:00 BST)

Manchester United "cannot rely on fate" in their Champions League quarter-final second leg against Barcelona, says manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

United travel to the Nou Camp needing to overturn a 1-0 first-leg deficit.

It will be the first time Solskjaer has played or managed at the ground since scoring the winning goal for United in the 1999 Champions League final.

"[There will be] Many emotions, of course it's a fantastic memory for me." Solskjaer said.

'I've seen my Treble goal a million times' - Solskjaer

"I don't look back on that night too often.

"I don't know how I will feel - I don't think it will be too different. I am focused on a better performance. That is my job now.

"Sometimes people have said to me it has to be our year because of 20 years ago and being back at the Nou Camp but to go through, we have to perform and have to deserve it. We can't say we are just going to rely on fate."

A lot of the build-up tonight will be focussed on events at the Nou Camp but the real quiz might be over in Turin.

Ajax have possibly been the most exciting team I've seen in Europe this season (qualifier: I've seen them play three times). Can they produce another famous night?

They overturned a 2-1 home defeat by Real Madrid to oust the holders with a remarkable 4-1 success at the Bernabeu.

    Same again?

Luke Shaw's own goal was the only strike in a fairly low-key first leg last week. Barcelona were a long way from their best, United were a blunt instrument.

The task awaiting the men from Old Trafford is as simple as it is daunting - they must win in the Nou Camp. Probably without conceding as well.

    Did you know?

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer scored a famous winner for the club in Barcelona 20 years ago?

    It barely gets mentioned.

Even OGS himself said this week that he's seen the goal 'a million times.'

But, if you are a believer in omens, deja vu, and the like, there's surely never been a better time for lightning to strike twice.

    Can Ole do it again?
