Poch has got the technical board out and he's discussing tactics with his team. God knows what they're going to come up with.

I'm out of ideas. But he's probably a better manager than me. Just.

A poor ball from Davinson Sanchez puts Spurs in trouble. Ajax try to take advantage but they can't quite create an opening to shoot and Danny Rose ends up sliding in on the left side of the box to clear the ball.

    Jeez, that was nervy!

    This is much, MUCH better.

Christian Eriksen's snap shot pops up and Lucas Moura nods it over to Dele Alli on the left side of the box. His scissor-kick volley is straight at the keeper, though it had some pace on it!

This is better by Spurs. Listen to the crowd. When you give the fans something to cheer, they will back you, but they had nothing to cheer in the first half.

Feisty start to this second half. It's wide open in midfield! Heavy metal stuff. Jurgen Klopp would approve!

All these experts calling for the heads of the Spurs medical team - doesn't an on pitch concussion assessment rely on the player in question telling them how he feels? If he tells them he's ok what are they supposed to do?

    Tottenham 0-1 Ajax

Tottenham haven't led in any of their games at half-time in the Champions League this season by the way.

But Ajax are unbeaten after taking the lead at half-time in every single one of their European games.

Fernando Llorente's dancing feet almost gives Spurs a dream start to the second half. He flicks it over one player's head, cuts inside another then gets it caught in his feet.

It falls to Dele Alli, but his strike is blocked. Nicolas Tagliafico then smashes one from long-range at the other end but it trickles past Hugo Lloris' left post.

Hugo: Half time almost came at the wrong time for Spurs. They sorted their shape out and started to look much better. Sissoko has a big 45 mins coming up.

Peter: Lost for words trying to describe Ajax... They’re making it look so easy.

Robert: Dele Alli needs to step up. He's avoiding the ball and showing no want to be involved. Spurs need him to be a big player when they aren't playing well.

Get Involved - is the Champions League your favourite tournament?published at 21:01 British Summer Time 30 April 2019

    Tottenham 0-1 Ajax

We've been asking you whether the Champions League is the best tournament. Remember, YOU can get involved in the debate here. We've selected some of the best responses below...

Steve, Manchester: I think the Euros every four years is the best to watch. The cream of Europe. The World Cup is too many games with many countries looking for draws to move onto next phase.

Noel, Redhill: The World Cup is still the best tournament for me and I preferred the European Cup . The Champions League should be straight knockout and winners only (as the name suggests stick in League winner + 2 domestic cup winners - make the domestic cups more meaningful to the big teams again if was the only way gain entry rather than top 4 league positions)!

Tottenham could have been 2-0 down within 20 minutes. They were asleep at the start! Hopefully those last five minutes have sparked a bit of fire in them.

Tottenham are playing well below par but Ajax have not allowed them any space to play. The visitors are playing out from the back around Spurs' weak press.

This looks like first team against reserves. They do things so simple with two or three touch.

Spurs' spirits seem to be lifted by having Moussa Sissoko on the pitch. He is a midfield presence and they look more comfortable.

They will be pleased with the last four or five minutes.

It's a rocket of a shot but flies just wide of the keeper's left post.
