Ian Goldsworthy: Liverpool can have all the attacking prowess but is so insignificant if they don't get the away goal.

Callum, London: Could someone tell me why these comments suggest Barca are 4-0 down and not 1-0 up? Some delusional fans out there tonight.

Josh: This is like watching Liverpool try and break down Stoke. But a Stoke team with a few handy strikers on the break.

Like in the Ricardo Fuller days, Josh?

    Barcelona 1-0 Liverpool

Is this Liverpool against Barcelona? Because Jurgen Klopp's side are playing with so much confidence.

They are almost playing too perfectly - trying to pass the ball into the net. A cutting edge is all that's missing.

They are very unfortunate to be trailing.

Liverpool are playing with no fear and still believe they can win this game.

Barcelona have had little threat, just when Vidal made the wrong choice and Van Dijk got back.

Liverpool have had four great chances since the break.

Lionel Messi hooks it long to Luis Suarez, who is one-on-one with Joel Matip in the box.

The centre-back times his tackle perfectly and snuffs out the danger. He's been cool and calm tonight. Solid performance.

Sergi Roberto holds off Andy Robertson on the left and the full-back can only hit it against his leg to win a throw-in.

Liverpool retain possession but Joe Gomez's audacious long-range strike is eventually skewed well wide.

Nicola, Cirencester: Barcelona appear to be in no particular rush to get another. Surely they won't be that happy with a one nil? Anfield a very tough place to go and you can guarantee Liverpool will get goals there.

Strokebet: I have to say so far this 2nd half this is the most dominant I have ever seen a team play at Barcelona. With this pressure Liverpool should have scored though

A few dodgy passes from Liverpool's defence bounce back off several heads before Alisson comes out and picks the ball up.

That was like watching human ping-pong!

Nelson Semedo has clearly been instructed to get at Liverpool's defence. He tries but Virgil van Dijk literally marshals him out of play.

Arturo Vidal then has so much space on the left but again, Van Dijk is there to intercept the cut-back.

Liverpool just got caught out a little then.

No question about it, Liverpool have been the better side tonight.

But the important thing remains the score.

NSN: Barcelona have been a team waiting to be found out. It is a minor miracle (mostly Messi) that they have reached here. This season, in the PL, they would have been fighting for a place in the Champions League with the likes of Arsenal/Chelsea/Man Utd.

Julian, Cambridge: Only 1 team playing for last 30 minutes either side of half time.Liverpool should be in the lead.

Anthony David Pletin: Coutinho giving away possession and failing to control anything coming his way is really costing Barcelona. Need to take him off

Barcelona are really struggling to cope with Liverpool at the moment. They are really here for the taking.

Get at them! Jurgen Klopp is egging his side on. Mo Salah wants the ball constantly.

12 yards out, James Milner. He's so reliable from the penalty spot and you'd want him to be the one arriving on a chance like that.

But he hits it straight at ter Stegen. What a great opportunity for Liverpool.

Mo Salah is having an absolute blinder. His touch is simply exquisite. He brings it down, cuts inside and slots it into the centre for Georginio Wijnaldum.

Gini dummies it (!!) and it comes to James Milner, who hits it with power but straight at the keeper. What a move!

This is where Trent Alexander-Arnold is missing. Mo Salah, in space AGAIN, beats one player before slipping it right to Joe Gomez.

The full-back crosses it first time but doesn't beat the first man. He needed to get an angle on it.

This is really, really good from Liverpool.

They win a free-kick near the left corner but their attack breaks down with a loose Joel Matip pass.
