Naby Keita tries to run into space in midfield but Ivan Rakitic takes him out late. Liverpool are just starting to control the possession a little bit here.

There's some encouraging signs, that's for sure.

Liverpool are a real threat. I'm delighted Klopp is playing 4-3-3 and they've started really positively, winning the ball back high up the pitch and looking threatening.

Barcelona are here for the taking.

Luis Suarez is a little late on James Milner and gives away a free-kick. Virgil van Dijk trots over and has a word with Suarez.

I wouldn't pick a battle with him, Luis.

Dan Wareing: Not even a Liverpool fan and I’m nervous...

Craig Smith: Barcelona and Liverpool are the two best teams to watch in the world right now. So much attacking talent. Gutted this is not the Champions League final.

Lovely lay-off from Wijnaldum to set Mane through. Pique lent into him and Mane went to ground. He was the wrong side but I feel Mane went down too easily.

    Correct decision.

Looked a bit clumsy but I don't think there was enough contact on Mane to give a penalty.

His leg did seem to be wrapped in between Pigue's legs though...

    Barcelona 0-0 Liverpool

Liverpool are being given so much space. Georginio Wijnaldum's knock-on sets Sadio Mane free in the box.

He's just about to shoot but comes together with Gerard Pique and hits the turf. Penalty? No, says the referee. No VAR either...

Coutinho then threads a ball through to Ivan Rakitic and Joel Matip has to come across to make a crucial block!

Liverpool's formation is still 4-3-3. Wijnaldum is a number 9, Salah on the right, Mane on the left. WIjnaldum is in Firmino's position but no doubt he'll drop back to become a number 10.

I've never seen Wijnaldum play there but Klopp has stuck with his formation and I think it's a good decision.

Antinarrative: As a long term Barca fan, Liverpool's pressing game makes me a bit nervy. If we survive the opening 15 mins, our defence will have established their feet and then guys upfront will work their magic!

Mathew Simon: Liverpool are not going cautious. The changes are dictated by the run of fixtures. Naby Keita presses high up the pitch and has terrific passing vision. Gomez will defend well and has a good engine to go forward. Expect Trent, Hendo and Firmino to make impact as subs

Get Involved - is the Champions League the best tournament ever?published at 19:57 British Summer Time 1 May 2019

We've been asking you whether the Champions League is the best tournament. We've selected some of the best responses below, and remember, YOU can get involved in the debate here.

Abulu, New York: I will have to give it to the World Cup. Nothing beats the joy of a nation supporting their country and singing their respective national anthems at the World stage every four years. Various countries basically shut down during the summer.

Rob, Preston: Best tournament in terms of quality is definitely the Champions League. However, the World Cup is the best tournament overall. It’s no coincidence that the best summers are when England do well i.e. 1990, 1996 & 2018. Is there anything better than the whole nation celebrating together as one?

The Barcelona anthem is being sung around the Nou Camp. The stadium looks absolutely incredible. There's a mosaic made with flags saying "ready to colour Europe".
