Temperatures here in Madrid are scorchingly hot and these will be taxing conditions for Liverpool and Tottenham tonight.
Liverpool's superb Premier League campaign and the experience of playing in last season's Champions League final makes them favourites but Spurs may feel they are being fuelled by a sense of destiny after the way they just got out of their group then reached the final with Lucas Moura's last gasp goal against Ajax in Amsterdam.
One disturbing development to report - as if the half-and-half scarf was not bad enough we now have the half-and-half kit. Seriously?

We may have all woken up already excited about tonight's big game - but the mood was quickly punctuated by some horrible news from Spain.
Former Arsenal forward Jose Antonio Reyes has died in a car accident aged just 35.
Reyes also played for Atletico Madrid - whose stadium the final is being held tonight - and Uefa has confirmed that a moment’s silence will be observed before kick-off.

Travelled to London to watch the game at the Lane with my Dad. Never thought I'd get the chance to see a European final with my old man. When I told him it probably wouldn't happen again in his life time and replied that it probably wouldn't happen again in mine either! COYS!
Christian - Epsom
Think Liverpool can complete the job tonight, my dad passed away recently (Man United fan) but was rooting for Liverpool because of me! A win tonight would mean a lot more than just being European Champions
Chris - Hopeful Liverpool Fan

Liverpool
He's not been out as long as Harry Kane but there have been question marks over Roberto Firmino for LIverpool. He hasn't played since the 3-0 defeat at the Nou Camp, which was only a month ago but feels so much longer...
Team news is usually released a little bit earlier than usual on a Champions League night so we should know whether Harry Kane is in or not just before 19:00 BST.
Tottenham v Liverpool (20:00 BST)
Tottenham Hotspur
It's 54 days since Harry Kane kicked a ball in anger for Tottenham.
He injured his ankle in a challenge with Fabian Delph in the quarter-finals but has been back in training.
He's going to start, right? Or would you go with Lucas Moura after his Ajax hat-trick?

Right on cue our boss provides the latest in a string of unlikely Champions League comebacks this season.
Will he make the game? Should he have forked out for us all to go to Madrid to do this live text from the stadium?
YES...

Tottenham v Liverpool (20:00 BST)
There have been six previous Champions League finals between clubs from the same country, all since 2000. Real Madrid were victorious in all-Spanish affairs in 2000 (Valencia), 2014 and 2016 (both Atletico) while AC Milan beat fellow Italian side Juventus on penalties in 2003 and Bayern Munich overcame Jurgen Klopp's Borussia Dortmund in the 2013 all-German final.
Also, of course, Manchester United beat Chelsea on penalties in 2008...
Tottenham v Liverpool (20:00 BST)
It feels like an absolute age since Spurs came back from 3-0 down to beat Ajax and Liverpool did the same against Barcelona.
The semi-finals were so good that tonight's final is going to have to go some to live up to them.
And that's what we're all here for...
Tottenham v Liverpool (20:00 BST)
The prospect of an all-English Champions League final can do funny things to people.
It's brought Mumsnet to its knees, external and Madrid to a standstill.
The Go Compare man has blown £7k on some dodgy tickets that never showed up.
Some fans have put in a 1,000-mile drive and one guy is even doing it in a £40 Skoda., external
Why?
If you have to ask, you'll never know.
The 2018-19 season has been good to us. Let's hope we get the crescendo we all deserve...
