Arsenal 1-0 Bate Borisov (1-1 Agg)

Mesut Ozil drills a poor corner to the edge of the box, it's cut out but Arsenal immediately hassle and win it back and find Alex Iwobi, who curls one just wide from 20 yards. Very close!

Well that didn't take long! Arsenal draw level instantly and it's a horrorshow for the massed Bate defence. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang burns down the right wing and flashes over a low cross, not sure there was actually an Arsenal shirt in the penalty area at all but it doesn't matter as centre-half Zakhar Volkov can't sort his feet out and the ball cannons off his shins and into the back of the net.

Don't sit in my seat: AFTV will be in a complete meltdown if arsenal don't go through. Someone will have to give them sedatives.

Victoria Concordia Crescit: Koscielny and Mustafi in defence. No clean sheet then. Hope our attack outscores our defence.

Bradley Bicknell: An away goal for BATE will be absolutely huge. With Arsenal’s very shaky defence there’s always a chance for them.

Straight away Arsenal have a chance, Stephan Lichtsteiner puts in a good cross from the right, Alex Iwobi takes it down inside the area and hits a low shot but it's straight at Denis Scherbitski.

There are approximately 10,000 Celtic fans in Valencia, with only 2,500 away tickets available.

Those currently outside the ground seemed to be having a whale of a time, mixing with the equally rowdy home fans outside the local bars.

But there were clashes between police and Celtic fans last night, with the cops not holding back with truncheons.

    Hopefully tonight passes off peacefully.

Sankish: Was a bit disappointed that Suarez didn't start. Especially considering that people in his position have not been particularly impressive.

Will: In terms of talent, Özil is the best player on the pitch tonight but he really needs to start showing more drive to prove it to us.

Arsenal manager Unai Emery: "We need to push from the first minute to be competitive aginst this team. They showed us they are defensively strong, they will continue to do that work. We must push every time and be clear with our gameplan.

"Ozil plays today, I am sure that he is going to play a good match. We need every player to continue to progress."

Former Arsenal, Chelsea and Real Madrid midfielder Lassana Diarra has had his contract at French champions Paris St-Germain terminated by mutual consent.

The 33-year-old later appeared to suggest he was retiring. Writing on Instagram , externalhe said "the time has come to hang up [my] boots".

Diarra joined the Ligue 1 side as a free agent in January 2018, signing an 18-month deal.

He made 13 appearances last season as PSG won the domestic treble.

Arsenal made light work of Bate in last season's Europa League group stage, winning 4-2 in Belarus and 6-0 at home. Only two of the 10 Arsenal goals, however, came from players who are still at the club – Rob Holding and Mohamed Elneny – neither of whom played in the first leg.

For Celtic to progress to the last 16 of the Europa League, they are going to have win a competitive match in Spain for the first time.

Last week's 2-0 first-leg home defeat by Valencia means Brendan Rodgers' side must score at least twice without reply at the Mestalla to stand a chance of staying in the competition.

Here, BBC Scotland looks back at some of their trips to Spain.

Shivam Manghnani: As a Chelsea fan this is the most apathetic I've been towards a cup final in ages. The manager isn't the right fit, there are other symptoms but this is one that needs immediate treatment.

Edwin Stanley: Chelsea as a club has to take some of the blame. Gave Sarri the job quite late. Replace Luiz with Maguire, let go of Pedro and Willian and get goal scoring wingers. Just play a mid of Barkley, Jorginho, Kovacic vs weaker clubs and Barkley, Kante, Kovacic vs Big clubs.

Lewis Sullivan: All the complaints of 'Sarriball' not working are premature. Anyone who actually watched Napoli last season will see that this Chelsea squad play way different. Give him time to implement it properly.

Adam Salter: Currently working nights. Had a nightmare Arsenal were 2-0 after 3 minutes, and then 3-2 down just on half time. Please no!!!

Bradley Bicknell: I’ll be interested to see ArsenalFanTv if they are knocked out by BATE.

Sulaimon Adelekan: I expect Arsenal to overpower BATE Borisov with this line up but I expected the same last week and they disappointed. Sarri won't last till the end of the season if he don't tweak things.
