What's a good score for Chelsea to take to Ukraine? More than one, surely. Pedro has his fifth shot on target but it's not a real test for Denys Boyko.

Dynamo will take this at full-time, I'm confident of that.

Four shots, four shots on target for Pedro in that first half. Should probably have more than the one goal to show for it!

Ross Barkley breaks a challenge and finds Pedro - who shoots straight at Denys Boyko again. Pedro could have had four!

    Chelsea 1-0 Dynamo Kiev

Mateo Kovacic in the wars, taking a kicking in the shins and then smashing heads with Andreas Christensen as they both go to clear the ball. That looked a nasty collision.

    Chelsea 1-0 Dynamo Kiev

Chelsea with 64% of possession and six good chances so far - they'll want to go to Ukraine with more than a one-goal lead though. Time to put these chances away!

  11. GREAT SAVE!published at 35 mins

    Chelsea 1-0 Dynamo Kiev

Lads, if you let David Luiz have time and space on the ball he will play it over the top to Pedro. It's what he does. Another immaculate pass sends Pedro in on goal, he takes it on the thigh and then hits a decent shot which is well saved again by Denys Boyko.

Moments later Marcos Alonso has a shot deflected narrowly wide. Unlucky!

  12. PENALTY APPEALpublished at 34 mins

    Chelsea 1-0 Dynamo Kiev

Kiev now have half a penalty appeal as a cross hits Marcos Alonso on the hand, nothing given but again, if it was a game where we had VAR they may have ended up giving that.

Oje Adurangba: Change of tactical approach from Chelsea is evident here. Choosing when to press high and when to drop deep. Impressive!!!

Again, top stuff from Olivier Giroud as he links up with Pedro. more or less a carbon copy of the goal but this time Pedro goes down after a collision with Tomasz Kedziora - hip to hip, no penalty.

There's no VAR in the Europa League by the way.

More good hold-up play from Olivier Giroud lets Mateo Kovacic find Ross Barkley inside the area, he shoots low and left-footed but it's well saved by Denys Boyko this time. Chelsea will want to put this tie to bed tonight if they possibly can.

    Chelsea 1-0 Dynamo Kiev

Should be 2-0! Pedro again, a tap-in inside the six-yard box after Davide Zappacosta's low cross makes its way all the way through but Pedro sidefoots it straight at Denys Boyko!

Dave Payn: Maybe it's a sign of how far Arsenal have fallen. Getting battered by Rennes. It wasn't that long ago that they were getting battered by Bayern Munich.

  20. goal

GOAL - Chelsea 1-0 Dynamo Kievpublished at 17 mins

    Pedro

There may be things that Olivier Giroud cannot do, but what he is superb at, better than nearly everyone in fact, is getting the ball, holding it up and then flicking it back into a run.

That's exactly what he does as Pedro finds him inside the area, with his back to goal, Giroud backheels it back to Pedro, who takes a touch and nutmegs Denys Boyko to give Chelsea the lead.
