  1. Who else is playing tonight?published at 17:30 Greenwich Mean Time 14 March 2019

There are two other 17:55 GMT kick-offs.

Valencia are holding onto a perilous 2-1 lead going into their match at Krasnodar. The Russian hosts would go through on away goals with a 1-0 victory.

Maurizio Sarri's old team Napoli are 3-0 up going into their second leg at Red Bull Salzburg.

  2. What's up for grabs?published at 17:28 Greenwich Mean Time 14 March 2019

Chelsea look in good shape to reach the quarter-finals after beating Dynamo Kiev 3-0 at Stamford Bridge last week.

So long as they don't get thrashed in Ukraine today, they'll be fine.

Arsenal - on the other hand - have a much more difficult time in store. They lost 3-1 in Rennes so need at least a two-goal win at the Emirates tonight to go through.

  3. 'Miracles occur in football'published at 17:26 Greenwich Mean Time 14 March 2019

Dynamo Kiev v Chelsea (17:55 GMT)

Dynamo manager Aleksandr Khatskevich said his team need a "miracle" to overturn their deficit.

"Of course, we do have a plan. On Thursday, we will have to play in a more offensive way taking into account we lost the first game 0-3," the former Kiev and Belarus midfielder said.

"We hope we'll try to score quickly, maybe. Miracles do occur in football and why not it occurs tomorrow?

"The score of the first game makes us go forward."

Dynamo Kiev v Chelsea (17:55 GMT)

Maurizio Sarri may not be happy with the pitch at Dynamo's Olympic Stadium but it's hardly a leap into the unknown for him.

He face the Ukrainian side as Napoli coach in the Champions League group stage in 2016-17.

Sarri's side won 2-1 in Kiev – where Jorginho played the full 90 minutes – and drew 0-0 in Naples.

  6. 'Olympic Stadium pitch could be dangerous'published at 17:16 Greenwich Mean Time 14 March 2019

Dynamo Kiev v Chelsea (17:55 GMT)

Dynamo Kiev's Olympic Stadium pitch is "a disaster" and could cause injuries, Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri says.

The Italian, whose side trained at the stadium on Wednesday, said: "I think it's [the pitch] really dangerous.

"It will be very difficult to play good football here. We have to accept the situation.

"I don't understand why Uefa give so much attention to everything, like the players' list, and then we have to play on such a bad pitch. It will also be very difficult for Dynamo. It's a problem for us but also for our opponents.

"It's really dangerous to play any football here in this moment, and I think it's really very dangerous for injuries."

  7. What happened in the first leg?published at 17:12 Greenwich Mean Time 14 March 2019

    Chelsea 3-0 Dynamo Kiev

Callum Hudson-Odoi scored his third Europa League goal of the season as Chelsea beat Dynamo Kiev in their last-16 first-leg match to put one foot in the quarter-finals.

The lively Pedro opened the scoring from close range as he ran on to Olivier Giroud's backheel.

Willian struck the second goal Chelsea's dominance deserved as he curled home from 25 yards.

Teenager Hudson-Odoi added a late third to put Chelsea in control of the tie.

Dynamo Kiev - who have never won in their 15 visits to England - did not manage a shot on target.

Sorry for such a dry opening entry but I couldn't think of anything linking tonight's football to this week's Champions League drama which didn't sound sarcastic.
