Chelsea's Olivier Giroud has scored 10 Europa League goals this season. The last player to score more for an English club in a European season (excluding qualifiers) was Alan Shearer in 2004-05 (11 in the Uefa Cup).

Giroud's only real rival for the golden boot is Eintracht Frankfurt's Luka Jovic, who has scored nine goals.

The 21-year-old Serb is being linked to Real Madrid.

Chelsea "deserve" to win a trophy this season, says manager Maurizio Sarri.

Sarri has never won a trophy in his career, managing mostly in the Italian lower leagues before three years at Napoli.

"I am delighted at achieving the club's target of making the top four [in the Premier League]," said Sarri.

"We want to reach the Europa League final and win it because we deserve a trophy this season.

"It's not easy because we have to play a dangerous team as we saw in the first leg. They're dynamic and aggressive and when they can find spaces, it's a dangerous match.

"In a semi-final you have to play against a strong team with very strong players. It's difficult to be the favourite in a semi-final."

Chelsea have won this tournament before, back in 2013 when they beat Benfica in the final.

They also won the 2012 Champions League.

The two European trophies Arsenal have won don't exist anymore.

The Gunners won the 1994 Cup Winners' Cup and the 1970 Inter-Cities Fairs Cup.

Some people count the Fairs Cup as the Uefa Cup/Europa League but Uefa don't. So I don't.

Chelsea also won two Cup Winners' Cups - in 1971 and 1998.

Eden Hazard has carried Chelsea this season, and to replace him, you have to have other players who chip in with more goals. Everyone wants him there and you cannot box him in.

You have to let him just do what he does and the Premier League would not be the same without him.

  16. A London derby... in Baku?published at 19:51 British Summer Time 9 May 2019

The final, which could well be a London derby, will be in Baku, Azerbaijan on Wednesday, 29 May at 20:00 BST.

For some reason they play the whole tournament on a Thursday, then put the final on a Wednesday.

There are no direct flights from London to Baku in the days around the game - and getting there will cost anywhere from £500 to £1,000.

If you prefer trains and buses, it will take you almost five days.

Anyone planning to drive will have to set off the weekend before the game.

Remember when Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech released a charity single with Queen drummer Roger Taylor?

    That happened this week.

It's called "That's Football". Cech, who is a keen drummer, is retiring from football at the end of the season.

You can listen to it in various places that you usually listen to music.

  20. 'I am certain Hazard will go to Spain'published at 19:46 British Summer Time 9 May 2019

Chelsea v Eintracht Frankfurt (20:00 BST, 1-1 agg)

    Guillem Balague
Spanish football journalist on BBC Radio 5 live

I am certain Eden Hazard will go to Spain and it has to be now for him if he wants to move to Real Madrid.

Maurizio Sarri has previously said he doesn't do what he wants him to do and he wants something different from his striker. Perhaps Christian Pulisic can be moulded into what he wants.
