Such is the inconsistency and unpredictability of the Championship eh?

They move within a point of the top six. Graham Potter will be smiling tonight.

    Middlesbrough 0-0 Rotherham Utd

Rotherham United put on a stunning display of defensive organisation to frustrate Middlesbrough and come away with a hard-earned point from the Riverside.

For Boro, that's three home games in a row without scoring, despite a number of attacking options being wheeled out, and concern for boss Tony Pulis going forward.

Sheffield United's draw means the Teessiders remain top regardless, but Pulis' old club West Brom could leapfrog them tomorrow.

    Sheff Utd 1-1 Stoke

Sheffield United are denied top spot in the Championship as Stoke City's late equaliser earns them a priceless point.

One defeat in five now for the Potters, while Sheffield United - whose four-game winning run was ended by Derby at the weekend - miss out on a return to winning ways.

They dominated at times, but should have put the game beyond doubt given the amount of chances and pressure they enjoyed. Credit Stoke, they never went away.
