George Friend sends a fierce effort over the crossbar, before Harry Wilson springs clear down the right and wins Derby a corner.

One of those big men, Aden Flint, does manage to get his head to another pinpoint Stewart Downing delivery but it loops harmlessly over the bar.

Tony Pulis is so unbelievably loud!

You can clearly hear the former Stoke City manager barking instructions at his players, who certainly won't get away with pretending the crowd had drowned him out.

Middlesbrough have a free-kick wide right and, as always, the big men are up from the back.

That's a poor challenge from Martyn Waghorn, who'd just been clattered by Aden Flint, as he goes in late on Middlesbrough winger Stewart Downing.

The Derby forward is rightly booked.

This Derby side look really good, it must be said. Ominously so.

As they stream forward again, Harry Wilson miscues another chance inside the Middlesbrough box, the away team's 10th effort on goal inside the first half an hour.

If there's one thing Frank Lampard won't be happy about it's that the Rams don't have this match won already.

Since that crazy two-minute spell during which they fell 1-0 behind and very nearly conceded a second, Middlesbrough have actually started to find their feet in this game.

Even so, they've still only had 20% of the ball and for a top-of-the-table-chasing home side that statistic seems staggering.

Stewart Downing sends an inch-perfect cross into the middle and Aden Flint, still forward from a previous set-piece, has a free header eight yards from goal.

The former Bristol City centre-half is well known for the threat he carries going forward, but his header on this occasion goes hopelessly off target.

But there's the danger for Derby - guilty of overplaying a few times at the Hawthorns in midweek, they again give the ball away cheaply here.

Mo Besic is the fortunate recipient of the wayward pass but, after teeing up Britt Assombalonga, the chance is snuffled out by keeper Scott Carson.

In the blink of an eye Derby are nearly 2-0 up!

First Jack Marriott is presented with a chance to double the lead, getting clear inside the Boro box but having his shot blocked by Darren Randolph.

From the next phase of play Harry Wilson sends a volley towards goal which rattles the upright and then comes off Randolph's back for a corner.

And then, after the corner is half cleared, Mason Mount beautifully tees up for a volley for himself on the edge of the box but it goes wide.

A chaotic passage of play - but it remains 1-0 to the visitors.

Instead, it's Mason Mount who steps forward to take the free-kick, and he'll probably wish he hadn't.

His tame effort drifts high and wide.
