Newcastle United manager Rafael Benitez believes his side created enough chances to win the game, but weren't "clinical" enough in their 1-0 defeat to Brighton.

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola delights in the "'beautiful, beautiful goals" his side scored in their 5-0 Premier League win over Burnley at the Etihad.

Bournemouth

Bore draw in the south-coast derby? Not a bit of it, according to Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe.

"I thought we were close to a win, we created a few chances, the best went our way but we didn’t capitalise on them. Fair play to them to make a good contest of it. We’ll take the point.

"Back-to-back clean sheets are huge positive, it is something we are trying to improve on, so it does us a world of good, the momentum still with us.

"We were not at our fluent best but the pleasing thing is we didn’t lose."

Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham midfielder Harry Winks told BBC Sport: "We are starting to find a bit of form now but we can play a little bit better and we’re digging in deep when we need to.

"Lloris was excellent today and he stepped up when we needed him to. We’re lucky to have a keeper like him.

"These are the games we need to win. They threw everything at us and it’s a tough place to come."

West Ham United

West Ham manager Manual Pellegrini: "The last game we didn’t play well and improved in the second half but we still lost.

"Today it was a very close game in the first half. The second half wasn't complete because we didn’t score but we had chances

"I am very proud about the team and we must continue like this but nobody is happy with the result.

"I never doubted us, even when we played bad."

Tottenham Hotspur

Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino speaking to BBC Sport, said: "In the first half we played very well and we deserved to score two or more goals

"Hugo Lloris is one of the best goalkeepers in the world.

"Manuel Pellegrini is doing a fantastic job and if you get result against Chelsea or Manchester United and to get the points in this stadium is very difficult to do, but we want to be competitive and in a good position in the table."

Watford

Safe to say that Watford boss Javi Gracia is a happy man after his team won their first Premier League game in five.

"We played a good game. First half was amazing and with two goals we managed the game until the end.

"The two goals in a short time were key. After that we managed the situation well. Wolves at the start of the second half played better. but we took control again and defended well.

"Today we wanted to offer a good version of us, a good face and try to offer this win to our supporters. Today is a reward for them as well."

Fulham manager Slavisa Jokanovic: "We are frustrated after this kind of defeat; we weren’t strong enough in our box. They scored easy goals, even when we defend in numbers they finish the action and score. We have so many problems in the defensive side but we have to find a solution. It’s still early on in the competition, we can find improvement, we must be brave and keep going to fix our mistakes."

Cardiff manager Neil Warnock: "It’s just a great feeling for everyone at the club. We have been playing well the last few weeks and not had the rub of the green. We persevered and they didn’t let the disappointments get them down.

“We are made of stern stuff, the fans are unbelievable as well. In the second half we rolled out sleeves up and said ‘this is our season’.

“We wanted to have a go at them and we did, everyone worked to the plan and on another day we could have got more but I can’t be too greedy. I can enjoy my weekend now.”

And here comes Burnley manager Sean Dyche. He's not happy either. In the build-up to the second goal when Leroy Sane appealed for a penalty, Dyche says the City winger should have been booked and demonstrated to our very own Steve Wilson how he should have stayed on his feet.

"It's frustrating, Sane goes down in a manner that's impossible [Dyche then demonstrates with Steve Wilson] let's try it - you didn't fall over, what a surprise. The referee goes to give a penalty and doesn't and in the meantime a player off the pitch walks back on to get a ball which looks out of play and they cross it and score at the end of it. Confusing for all. It was bizarre."

There's more from Dyche.

"It's a red card for Vincent Kompany in the first minute [on Aaron Lennon]. It's high he's blindside and Aaron has got two stitches," he told BBC Sport.

"Later on in the game Leroy Sane's is a red as well [on Matt Lowton], a blatant kick-out with no intention to play the ball."

Burnley

Plenty of eulogising from Pep and his players after thrashing Burnley, but this disputed second goal won't go away.

Speaking to BBC Sport, Burnley goalkeeper Joe Hart said: "The linesman apologised for switching off, but that's huge, it's hard to take.

"I appreciate the human side but he apologised so he must be pretty clear it went out.

"There is a feeling of frustration in my chest right now. The crowd reaction was nice but I came here as a Burnley player, it was far from a perfect day."

Southampton

Sounds like Southampton manager Mark Hughes was more happy with a clean sheet in the bore-draw against Bournemouth than Nathan Ake.

The Welshman told BBC Sport: "We had the best and most clear-cut chances, one at the death from Manolo Gabbiadini, he was not able to get on top of the ball.

"On the day it was a good professional away performance against a side with a lot of confidence. We were very organised, understood what we needed to do and executed the plan.

"We were up against good quality teams in Liverpool and Chelsea in the past games, it was important to make a statement today. We showed we are committed, but no little show of skill either, we created the best chances, chances we needed to take to get points."

West Ham boss Manuel Pellegrini has been talking about the game-ending injury to Andriy Yarmolenko, who was stretchered off in the first half.

"We will see tomorrow after the medical examination," Pellegrini said. "But we think it is something in his ankle and we will see what kind of injury it is.

"It was a pity because at this moment we have five injured players and four of them are midfielders so it's not easy."

Cardiff's win over Fulham takes the Bluebirds out of the bottom three with the west Londoners slipping into the drop zone.

Winger Ryan Sessegnon says: "At times we played well but goals are leaking too much and we need to change that. It’s not clever, we know they are strong at set-pieces and we need to learn from this and go on next week.

"I can’t really put my finger on what the problem is, but we need to stick together, believe in ourselves and keep fighting, there’s a long way to go."

Mauricio Pochettino has just called Hugo Lloris "one of the best keepers in the world" and no-one in London Stadium would argue with that assessment after he denied Marko Arnautovic on three occasions.

Manchester City

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has also hinted that "it was much easier" after the disputed second goal against Burnley.

He said: "After we scored the second goal and third it was much easier. And of course it’s good news that Kevin De Bruyne is back.

"I don’t know if it was a penalty [for the second goal], but the referee didn’t decide that and you have to keep going. The finish from Bernardo [Silva] was excellent. The goals were so outstanding, beautiful, beautiful goals and three more points."

Bournemouth

Bournemouth defender Nathan Ake: "It was a scrappy game, it was difficult, we didn’t create too many chances so not the best game. The clean sheet good but there are negatives for sure.

"They made it difficult for us, we couldn’t play our high tempo game so credit to them. We need to up our game, today wasn’t good enough."

High standards from Ake, whose team remain sixth in the table and are three games unbeaten.
