He’s gone half a second too early. Javier Hernandez wants to put Marko Arnautovic through. Arnautovic plays it back to him and it’s an easy finish, but the linesman got it bang on.

    Leroy Sane

Too easy for Manchester City. Benjamin Mendy drills in a low cross from the left and Leroy Sane is left unmarked to sweep home.

Teacups could be getting flung in the away dressing room by Sean Dyche in a few minutes.

    West Ham 0-1 Tottenham

As a flare is let off, clouding the London Stadium in smoke, Tottenham burst forward on the break but West Ham recover. Christian Eriksen is on for Mo Sissoko.

Wonder if Spurs might catch the Hammers as they press forward?

Johnny Magrinho: Find it baffling that Vietto didn’t start today. Probably been Fulham’s best player last few weeks & is an absolute handful up front with an eye for a killer pass. They look far weaker when he’s not on the pitch. Baffling decision & now Fulham are losing to Cardiff.

Daniel Stevanato: Newcastle could be 10 points adrift with 5 games left and all the "pundits" and "experts" would still say with complete certainly that they'll get out of it. Time to accept that maybe they're not too big to go down, just like in 2009

Newcastle just lack that potency, that sprinkling of quality inside the box. I think Newcastle are better away from home. When they’re at home they have to score goals. They feel the pressure.

    Bournemouth 0-0 Southampton

Send them up! Bournemouth have a free-kick about 40 yards out and the big lads at the back jog forward to try and cause a nuisance.

Jefferson Lerma is the Cherries player who manages to wriggle free of his marker, but his header lacks power and is easily gathered by Asmir Begovic.

The ref might as well blow up now. Not a goal in this one.

    Newcastle 0-1 Brighton

Newcastle test Mat Ryan twice in the Brighton goal via Jonjo Shelvey and Kenedy but neither shot looked like it might find the net.

  8. DISALLOWED GOALpublished at 16:45 British Summer Time 20 October 2018

    West 0-1 Tottenham

Great break by West Ham as a slick move ends up in Javier Hernandez finding the net to send London Stadium nuts, but Marko Arnautovic was caught offside before he squared to the Mexican striker.

What a let-down for the Hammers. Christian Eriksen is coming on for Spurs.

    Garth Crooks

For all the beauty of that goal it doesn't add anything to the points they lost at Liverpool when Riyad Mahrez missed that penalty.

You need your players to step up to the big occasions.

    Riyad Mahrez

The cherry on the top of the Manchester City cake.

And it's a sweet one as Riyad Mahrez curls into the top left corner from just inside the Burnley box.

Pace, bend, precision. You don't stop them.

Not quite redemption for blazing over that penalty at Anfield but it's not a bad way to get back into the good books.

Mark Hughes rolls the tactical dice and comes up with a pair. Manolo Gabbiadini and Shane Long come on to provide some goal threat as Danny Ings and Charlie Austin go off.

    West Ham 0-1 Tottenham

Tottenham defending in numbers as West Ham continue to knock on the visitors' door. The centre-back partnership of Davinson Sanchez and Toby Alderweireld are earning their corn.

George Graham would be loving this.

Chance for Wolves to get back into it. They have a free-kick 25 yards out, but Ruben Neves curls over the top.

Has the spirit gone from Nuno's team?

    Cardiff 3-2 Fulham

This is dangerous. Free-kick Fulham on the edge of the box after Sol Bamba cleans out Andre Schurrle as he threatens to shoot from 20 yards...

The German stands over the ball... we know he can hit them... into the wall.

Cardiff, who are off the bottom of the Premier League as things stand, survive.

    Wolves 0-2 Watford

Adama Traore is now on for Wolves as they search for a glimmer of hope. Watford are keeping the ball quite well, though.

    How is your game management?

  17. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 16:35 British Summer Time 20 October 2018

    West Ham 0-1 Tottenham

Erik Lamela is replaced by Moussa Dembele. What a player to keep hold of the ball when you need it. I really hope he doesn't leave the Premier League as has been suggested.

West Ham are scrapping to get back in this, but a win would be a fourth in succession for Spurs.

    Man City 3-0 Burnley

Phil Foden - AKA the Stockport Iniesta - is on for City and he almost tees up the fourth with his first involvement.

The teenager drives into the right side of the Burnley box and squares to fellow sub Gabriel Jesus who can't convert.

    Cardiff 3-2 Fulham

This is going to be a nervy final 25 minutes for Cardiff.

Fulham have a sniff as substitute Floyd Ayite crosses low into the box from the right, but Sol Bamba steams across to boot clear before Aleksandar Mitrovic can get there.

That’s not even a chance. Callum Paterson is facing away from goal and he’s thinking 'I’m just going to hit this'. He does and it goes in. Not great defending, though.
