  3. Newcastle going to the bottom?published at 16:30 British Summer Time 20 October 2018

    Newcastle 0-1 Brighton

Brighton captain Bruno is on the deck now. Not sure he'll win too much sympathy after saying prior the game that the home fans will turn on the Newcastle team if they don't start well.

With Cardiff now winning, Newcastle will slip to the bottom of the pile if it stays as it is.

    Cardiff 3-2 Fulham

    Garth Crooks
BBC Sport football expert on Final Score

It's a woeful tackle, Alfie Mawson has got to do something there. It's so weak from the Fulham defender.

Cardiff could be on for their first win here.

    Wolves 0-2 Watford

Watford are standing firm as Wolves probe for a route back into the game at Molineux. A couple of corners come to nothing. Plenty of effort, but nowt to show so far.

  6. goal

GOAL - Cardiff 3-2 Fulhampublished at 16:27 British Summer Time 20 October 2018

    Callum Paterson (65 mins)

That's terrible defending, as Alan Hansen would have said.

Out of nowhere, Cardiff are back ahead and are about half an hour or so away from that elusive first win of the Premier League season.

Bruno Ecuele Manga sticks what seems to be a harmless cross into the Fulham box from the right, visiting feet unsuccessfully swipe at the ball and Callum Paterson shows desire to get to the ball first and poke into the far corner.

No idea how that went in. Cardiff don't care!

    West Ham 0-1 Tottenham

Harry Winks proving why he's earning rave reviews for Spurs and England as he dances past the West Ham midfield in his pink boots and buys some time. Spurs win a free-kick.

They call that being "streetwise", now, don't they?

  8. 'Massive for both teams'published at 16:25 British Summer Time 20 October 2018

    Cardiff 2-2 Fulham

    Dion Dublin
Ex-Premier League striker on Final Score

Cardiff have shown some guts and determination, which we know they’ve got. It’s just that quality - which we know Fulham have got - that has been lacking. It’s such a massive game for both teams.

  13. Postpublished at 16:22 British Summer Time 20 October 2018

    Bournemouth 0-0 Southampton

Any chance of someone scoring at Bournemouth? It is the only Premier League game without a goal.

Joshua King has a great chance when he is picked out in the Saints box by Callum WIlson's cutback... but he scuffs it wide.

Hundreds of hands rubbing on heads in the home stands tell you everything. Bournemouth have not had a shot on target yet...

  16. De Bruyne back, and City heading back to the top...published at 16:21 British Summer Time 20 October 2018

    Man City 3-0 Burnley

    Chris Bevan
    BBC Sport at Etihad Stadium

Quite a welcome back for Kevin de Bruyne there, with all the City fans on their feet to welcome him off the bench for his first appearance since the opening weekend of the season, and quite a good time for him to come on too - with his side 3-0 up after those quick-fire goals - and with the three points in the bag.

City have only been off the top of the table for a matter of minutes today, but they are heading back there at the moment.
